IS IT A GD IDEA TO GO ON GRASS
-
it will be pretty slippy on grass. If you do go on grass I would recommend putting on some tyre socks which will give you more grip
-
I broke my knee on grass, so that's a no from me.
-
I would say only go on grass if you are a confident and competent bocker. You can have a few nasty slides on grass if you get carried away!
It's not that much of a great surface to learn on, tarmac + pads is the best way to go, then you have maximum grip and if you do fall over, you won't get hurt! :)
-
im gonna have to say yes on this one as long as you have tire socks, short grass, and very dry conditions...oh yer and pads and helmet
-
Yes, put tyre socks on before you start walking on the grass, as it will give you super grip!! ;D
-
You can, it's just a bit trickier. But for more safety, listen to the others on tyre socks, more grip. :)
-
u think grass is slippy try walkin on gravel lol thats allways fun
-
never walk on wet cobble stones even with tyre socks on.....it's a disaster waiting to happen!!!!!
-
i went on grass when i wasnt very good and i dont have tyre socks and it was fine but it was very dry
-
wet grass, is like trying to walk on oil, i have almost fell off on wet grass with tyre socks, if i did not have them on, i would have fell over, find power bocking resources, on the internet and follow their guide, on how to make tyre socks!!

I hate grass, I have found even on a boiling hot day it still somehow seems wet and slippy. Perhaps that's just England for you! Haha
We thought about putting nails on our feet for extra grip on grass. But that seemed like it could end up stabbing someone haha

I see no problem there ??? ;D
-
ill only ever go on grass if i need to croos some lol
-
not as much bounce on grass.
-
I thought landing on grass would hurt less, seems i was wrong...
-
lol i tohught that it wouldnt hurt on grass thanks for the info i now know it does :)
-
grass is 'slightly' less painfull to land on. but if u have pads and fall ok its just embaressing not painful. Today i did some practise bouncing. velcro on my shorts pokets not too good- so foolishly i put credit card in brest pocket....Now if i saw 20p jump out of my pocket id just think 'iiijjjit think next time'. But a credit card --i cant leave. So .wearing pads. I just sank/fell to knees un picked it up. No probs no pain
The point of grass, for me, is the bounceyness means you dont get as high / per bounce. Its a trade off ---u deside just dont ask us :o)!!
-
lol ill be on concrete in town and around palces and gras in king goerges (the field which we all end up sitting down chatting in ) lol !

* i bocked around HMV looking for a birthday pressy 4 bro in law. Was great , security gaurd looked at me un u could almost hear his brain clankin ' i wanna ban him but wot 4' in the end they didnt have the dvd box set i wanted geees so i left d'oh
