Title: London. Talk to me.
Post by: Locky on August 25, 2011, 12:21:39 PM
I'm in london next weekend attending a slackline event. Looking at bringing my stilts as long as megabus allows it.

Anyone fancy a good hard bounce?

ok cool.

There is a slackline meet happening in Victoria Park all day sat and sun. A few of us coming down and maybe staying over so as long as we have stilts, I'm up for a bock - somewhere where its allowed or wont cause trouble.

Sorry guys my trip to london only lasted today and literally just got home now.

We couldnt make it a 2 day thing as we have an important gym session happening tomorrow which I'm needed for :(

We had a great day slacklining today in Victoria Park. Greggles came along who is really a natural at this and an old bocking face that few will remember, Athoul.

No worries mate glad you had a good day

Think I might get a slackline for christmas as everyone seems to have a lot of fun with them

Do you recon they are harder to learn than bocks (especially for a fat old man  :Claugh:)

I think the learning time scale is about the same. Slacklining is more relaxed in some ways but takes great concentration. I dont think there is much danger involved though because you can put the line literally 3 inches off the ground to learn on.

You could be walking a line and have 1000 naked people run by and not notice them.

Sounds good mate

At my age I could be daydreaming and miss a crowd like that  :Claugh:

Made myself a balance board a couple of days ago and having no end of fun

I'm trying to get enough ballance to stay still on the jump bike I bought  (Yep I know second childhood (Third or fourth actually)  :Claugh:)
