The Welshbockers have applied for funding via Nat Wests Community Force scheme. It's a public vote and they list winners in each area, which gives us a really good chance here but we need your help.
The vote is open until October 23rd and the winner gets £6000 with second and third place getting £3000, in each area.
I cant tell you what this would mean for us, and bocking in the uk. Actually if we won the 6k our plan was to buy a full size bus, ripp out half the seats, fill it with stilts and pads and mats and have a bocking bus that can tour the uk and bring bocking to every corner of our country.
You need to register to vote but it only takes a minute to fill out the form and click to vote for us. You get 3 votes so please have a look for something in your area that you also think could really benefit.
Details are on our site here: http://www.welshbockers.co.uk/natwest/
and the nat west site is here: http://communityforce.natwest.com/
I think this is one of the best opportunities for bocking to have ever hit the UK. Most of you may not realise but in 5 years we've found just one other funding scheme that applies to bocking because its too new and too "high risk".
So please take a couple of minutes from your busy life and vote for us.
Much love.

Voted for you!
Registering was easy as,
You currenty have 48 votes I think so good luck :D
-
Thankyou Wolf. Means a lot to us :)
-
Done :)
-
cheers boss :)
-
Voted, hope this works out for you guys,
-
Thanks Callum.
I didn't realise this at first but we're only up against 26 other groups in the south wales area. This really puts us with a good chance of winning this. I guess it just depends what sort of campaigns other groups are running, and one of them is st johns ambulance who must have a huge following with their volunteers.
But we shall see. Thanks for those who have voted so far and please spread the word.
-
hi locky
i have voted for you.

Thanks Kev.
For everyone else who has not voted, please do. If we win we'll put on a special full day in a gym for anyone who can come (and not on a tuesday!).

Done, :)

Little video I did to help people along since registering is a pain in the arm.
We're in the lead with this guys, we just need to keep it up for 19 days!
-
I managed to vote for you Locky and am in the middle of trying to get them to answer an e-mail so the wife can vote
Seems that the automated e-mail so you can register don't go through to a few providers
Hopefully they will answer the second e-mail
Good luck

Thankyou my good buddy. I have witnessed the email problem for myself and already raised it with them but no response yet.
I suggested they have a "resend the email" button but so far nothing.
Thanks for the vote, we're doing well at the moment and 18 days to go.

Sooo I thought to help get some much needed attention for this we'd launch 101 Reasons to vote for the welsh bockers.
Some of the reasons are serious, some not so much. More to come but here's the first one and sorry for the sound quality, I will wear a mic in future. Enjoy:

We found out today that those people not online or having trouble getting the email when you register can now vote quickly and easily with a freephone number: 0800 2100 246 - and it's open 24 hours :)
Rhod Gilbert, anyone?

Just 6 days left for this guys n girls and we're in 2nd place, only beaten by Age Concern (how did that happen?)
Anyway we're going full throttle this week so here is the last but one cheesey video in this series.
Please vote for us. You can do it online or freephone.

Managed to vote for the wife for you at last mate 4 emails and a phone call to get a response from them :Claugh:
The M-in-Law had to use my spare account to vote as her e-mail wasn't recognised either
Good luck
Jason :Hoofies2: :CGEEK:
Ps at least if age concern beat you I might get some benefit out of it :Claugh:

Well we're currently in third place so thanks for the extra votes Jason.
This is excellent news as I've found out we only need to be in the top 3 to win £6000.
1st is a childrens hospital, 2nd is Age Concern and we're battling third place against a voluntary elderly transport group.
It is very close and voting closes at noon on monday.
I make this promise to bockers of the UK.
If we win the money we will happily pay for a full days gym session at a sports hall of your choice
for everyone (first come first served if we're limited on numbers).
So full days FREE GYM in it for you all, I'll even pay for a trampoline and coach to be available if you like.
You've got until noon on Monday to vote and we really need everyones support here.

or call 0800 2100 246 and ask to vote for the welsh bockers (24 hour free phone).

Our charity is in line for a desparetly needed £6,000 grant if we can raise enough votes by midday tomorrow (Monday) We are currently in 4th place – the top three get the grant from Nat West.
Could you take 2 minutes to vote for us please?
