Title: Can you help a school out?
Post by: webmaster on February 20, 2012, 08:58:08 PM
Hi

We have had a request from a school based in Pontesbury, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, who are after someone to demonstrate Pro-Jumps on  the 13th of March, I think they are willing to pay a reasonable fee for expenses too.

The request is as follows, if you can help please pm me so I can get you the contact details.

.... We would love our Y9 students to look at projumping equipment, in relation to science and technology in the olympics and para-olympic equipment. We are a school in Shropshire.

... We are looking for support with our Y9 on Tues 13th March. Do you have availability and what would your costs be? We were hoping for a demo and some examples of the 'footwear' as the students will be doing a design project, looking at producing some new designs on that day.

Would be a great way to get some more enthusiasts on board :)

Just a bit of feed back as this event was today. We had two sessions with the year 8's which had already done their homework and seen some of our videos infact the first thing someone said to steff was "I recognise you from the web" :)

We also met former olympian and gold medalist Derek Redmond who was doing a talk to the school which ultimately was about self confidence and believing you can do something.

Hopefully no pad police were around as my first backflip for them was with no pads on but I did explain that it was illegaly in 42 countries to flip with no pads on.

13 hour day so a tad shattered now. Great day though :) Cheers Naz

Sounds fantastic, glad you were able to do it and I'm sure if any one can inspire a group of kids to become bockers you guys can :)
