Whilst I wait till payday so I can order my gear I have a question:
How do the stilts fare in wet conditions, They have rubber feet pads so are they grippy enough to use when the floor is wet. I dont mean standing water, but If the rain has died down and the road is just damp is it advisable or should jumping be consined to summer and dry days?
I also saw this http://www.geocities.com/powerisertiresocks/
for adding 'tire socks' has anyone done this and will it help with damp conditions?

Hi there,
I have socks on mine and in wet weather they're not great no. I only find socks benefitial on grass.
We were in a carpark yesterday and it was starting to rain and both socks and sockless bockers were having issues with the floor. Doesnt take a lot of rain which is a shame to spoil it!!

would a zip tie work alrite to farsten the tire or is it only the metal band clamps that work suficently? if so what shops in the UK sell metal band clamps?
thanks!

B&Q sell them as do Wicks (hardware place).
You may find smaller diy shops and maybe even bike shops sell them. They are called jubilee clips.
I dunno about zip/cable ties. Probably not strong enough and the tyre wont stay in place but I cant see what damage it will do to try, just dont do anything crazy on them without testing them out thoroughly.
