Hi all,
Due to the s**te weather this weekend, the meet was unfortunately cancelled. However, i think it's worth trying again this weekend so here's hoping it stays dry!
Details below:
Post code: RG21 4QE
Time: 12:30 - whenever
There are many car parks where you can leave your motor and space isn't an issue (if you've been there you'll know what I mean).
Anyway let me know if you can attend in a reply to this thread.
Happy bocking!
-
Hi Davido
Clive and I will be there mate
I want to try thet bench
Should be able to make it by 12-30 or thereabouts
Jason :Hoofies2: :CGEEK:
-
As there seems to be low demand for a S.E. London meet, can I sneak into this one? P
-
Of course you can buddy. The more the merrier!
-
Just to bump this so people can see it
Come along folks it is a fab place to bock
Jason :Hoofies2: :CGEEK:
-
Okay,
I'll dust off my stilts and head for Eastrop Park - see you about 12:30pm.
Steve

Two days to go people!
-
Looking fwd to this sunday should be a good meet :Cwink: :Cyes:
-
Sorry lads.. Going to miss this one- got some family issues etc.. Have a good.one.. P
-
No worries muncher, hopeful get it sorted out.
As for the meet:
The weather here is pretty good! Few clouds but can't say it looks like rain will be an issue, so it's on as far as I'm concerned!
Cya all later on!
-
Well the law of sod seems to be in action as no sooner had I posted that the weather was nice, it starts p**sing down!
The meet is off it seems. Have to try another weekend!
-
I am gutted about this one Davido :Ccry:
It looked like a monsoon here for about half an hour and then we had sunny skys
But we made a decision and it did look gloomy
Please tell me it rained all day there (at least it will make me feel better :Claugh: )
I love the Basingstoke meets so do another soon and this time I'll bring my brolly if needed
Jason :Hoofies2: :CGEEK:
-
Yeah bit of a bummer really!
Haha I know what you mean! I was sat indoors in a mood all afternoon lol. But it did keep raining until 16:00 so the ground would have been truly sodden if we'd decided to go ahead with the meet, so definitely the right thing to call it off!
I had a little go out in a local car park and got my cuffs set up how I want them so there was something positive from the day!
Anyway I've edited the top post, so hopefully you guys can make it next weekend.
-
I will be there if I can mate

-

I think it's gonna take more than a word judging by the weather today!
-
Well jason and i allways say ...when the banned plan to bock the rain will stop lets hope it dose this sunday looking fwd to it,theres my school hall as back up if the weather is really bad tho ,thats in hanworth
-
Well in case it does tip it down tomorrow, I think that'd be cool as a back up :)
-
Just seen the weather forecast and it looks not to bad west of london
We might have to bock between showers but if it is like today it won't be to bad
Jason :Hoofies2: :CGEEK:
-
The beauty of bocking in this weather is the stilts keep you feet out of the flooding :Ceek:
Hope it keeps clear for you.
-
I can't come today :Cno: really suffering with a cold.
hope it stays clear for the rest of you (fingers-crossed)
-
The Banned Bockers are on our way over now see you all soon
-
What a day
Thanks for staging the meet Davido had a fab time
Only 4 of us plus our Ace Photographer (Pic of me to follow if Clive dosen't delete it :Claugh: )
Got so hot and sunny we were looking for shade and then the heavens opened and honestly I stood out in the rain to cool off :Claugh:
Just the sort of day bocking is made for
Jason :Hoofies2: :CGEEK:
Ps Your turn Clive :Claugh:
-
Thought I'd use my first post on my shiny new forum account to say a huge thanks for making a newbie welcome at his first meet  The tips really helped too, I'm feeling much more confident on my stilts now.
I think tomorrow I will experience first hand what rigor mortis feels like but it'll be worth it, I had a great day and I look forward to next time I can tag along :PJ101Ian:
-
You were doing really well mate
And that was a corker of a fall you did
Your always welcome to our sunday meets if you can get the time off and like I said if you get a saturday free tell us and we'll try and move the meet to the saturday
Need guys like you at the meets mate you were the only one to see my first go over the bench  and that Clive bloke would have denied I did it if he got half a chance :Claugh:
Only joking Clive so stay away from the delete button on Gemma's camera :Claugh:
Jason :Hoofies2: :CGEEK:

hhmmmm i feel like getting bk on the trampoline again and trying out the front flip!! great meet today love it and weather was with us thanks to me having word with big guy thats one i owe him lol..thanks again david great first meet......... :Straddle5:
-
I don't do things by halves... I am being heckled by my darling wife who's pointed out I do do things by half as that corker only knackered one of my wrists :Ceek:
Gemma, please feel free to accidentally hit delete on any photos of my ineptitude... :Cwink:
-
Rob I didn't see that fall but I definitely heard it! I feel your pain with the wrists, only natural to stick your hands out when you're falling over!
Thanks Gemma for taking pics and braving the rain :P
Jason and Clive I think spent more time handing out advice an letting passers by have a go on the stilts then they actually spent bocking themselves! Two really good ambassadors for the sport!
Thanks everyone for coming down and making it an awesome day. Can't wait for the next one!
-

-
Yep Gemma publish and be Dammed :Claugh: as they say in the press and some fab pics there yet again and not one of my Bum this time
We deffo want to see that fall I mean we heard Rob hitting the ground and it was loud  hope the wrist feels better mate
Muncher we are going to either do a home meet or a Staines meet next sunday
Probably know for sure which by wednesday so watch this space (or probably a new post)
There are benches in staines so I may get brave again :Claugh:
Thanks David we both love seeing peoples face when they manage to walk on Bocks for the first time and it's great when someone you have started in them gets some and starts coming to meets makes you feel like you have given something really good and fun to them and made another mate to have a good laugh with
Jason :Hoofies2: :CGEEK:
