A lot of people ask how to stop knee bars or their springs from hitting each other ?
I'm no expert on my stilts but a I know a thing or two about walking. I learned how to walk properly after I broke my foot and then went on to teach fitness.
The reason people bang their stilts together is they point their feet in or out
The knee only bends one way forward and back the has you walk your feet stood be parallel which mean you stilts shouldn't hit each other !
Stand up and just take a sort walk ( without your stilts ) and think which way you point your feet, if they are pointing in or out then it's obvious you'll bang your stilts together.
A quick way of pointing your toes straight forward is thinking of it like this.
You have a foot ball in front of you. each time you walk you tap the ball, you must swing your feet straight forward to keep control of the ball and not zigzag it !
Once you can walk properly, you'll find your stilts shouldn't bash together how ever fast you try to run. You should also find walking in general feels better

Yes, it has gone a bit off-topic.
The reason people bang their PJ'ers together is they point their feet in or out
The knee only bends one way forward and back the has you walk your feet stood be parallel which mean you PJ's shouldn't hit each other !
My feet used to point out before I started bocking and I had a pain in the arch of my foot. It's stopped now though.

A work mate sent £200 on heel supports because he walks badly ( the wronge way ) :o
I told him if he brought some PJ's he'd have more fun and learn to walk correctly ;D
-
I had this problem too, because normally when I walk my knees sometimus rub together. I had to think about walking in my PJ's for ages, focusing on keeping my legs apart so they wouldn't bang into each other. I can do it fine now without thinking now. I didn't think my walking was that bad until I got my PJ's.
Further tips: Lift your legs up properly, otherwise you can scr***e you hoof along the floor which will increase your risk of tripping. Trust me, I fell over today because of a crack in the path.
Also make sure that when walking in your PJ's, you don't twist your foot when moving the other...
((Dark Knight, not only more fun but cheaper than heal supports!))
Another tip: try to walk upright or you'll get pains in your lower back from bad posture. I think it's called bocker's back... You might tend to lean forward in your PJ's to balance better, don't.

I was watching how people walk in London most swing the leg out then back in when they walk :-\
It maybe easier to swing the weight but they'll find their hip ache ifthey swing out to far !? Say that I do it ( bocker hip ) !? :o
-
I'm glad my leg managed to survive today. I got bocker's back atm, poor me. So how should you walk if not how people walk normally? Cos that's what I was doing at least.

That's why peoples tyre boots slip sideways ( so side in and some out ( my pair slipped inwards )). If the foot was placed squarely down it's shouldn't slip either way !?
-
Ah. Twisting your foot as you move the other. It,s because the hoof is much smaller than a normal foot and people don't realise they're doing it.
-
we should all walk like cowboys or we should kanga bounce everywhere lol
