Title: Holes in Hoofs
Post by: Dark Knight on August 18, 2007, 09:58:10 AM
I've got a split in a hoof which mean you can see the metal under it if you push it to one side. I've not made a tyre boot ( only used them for about 6 hours ) ! Should I try a bit of glue on the rubber to hold it before fitting a boot and if so what sort of glue ?

I did order new ones but there not here and need a patch up for London.

I think it's because
1, I'm big
2, I have a bad leg so use one side more than other !?
3, The rubber hoof too soft for me ( see 1 )

Once I get a new pair I'm MODing them and I don't mean tyre boots ! I'm working on something much better   ;)

I was just wondering wther you meant height or weight.  I'm only a short slip of a lad at 6'4" and weighing in at 95Kg.  How about you?

DK I have enough of this new rubber to bring a spare set along tomorrow if you fancy trying it

It's about 8mm thick so it should help with the hole as well

You'll have to supply your own jubilee clips as there seems to be a shortage of them round my way

100kg not been able to go training for sometime because of my bad leg !?
But I'm getting back into training and bocking is easier for me to do than jogging.
Off to make my first pair of booties so no one laugh when you see them !?

I may have brought them all for my sailing, just got back from Holland, going to Capital Bocking, and then to Germany, yay for me, at sea, will try to get picks of me using my stilts on the boat!

I send the wronge pair back had hoped they'd been here Saturday but I'm still waiting. I've not re-tyred my hoof. Glue didn't help and I can't find the douldle-sided sticky tape the wet will rub the stick off but it should stop the tyre slipping off !

I've just opened the bag with my hoofs and OMG they looked different   :o
Not different bad ! Different good !  :o
I've not tried them on but them look a lot better then the ones you get with the PJ's. Unless these are wrong too but if they are I'll make these fit !
I told someone in London about a new type of boot I was about to build and the mod I'd have to do to the hoof first, and OMG I'm looking at in now !  :o

Sorry about the english but I was so happy to see them  :o  ;D
