People think it hard to walk but I tell people.
Walking in 1/2 an hour and your first fall after two hour when you start getting too cleaver ;D
Has for running well you don't :o
That's to say you don't as much run as jog fast, the trick it keeping your knee up and let them bounce.
If you try to run has you would without PJ's you'll find your hoofs drag the ground and you'll trip !
The crack sound bad ? How big is it ? You may have to have a word with the shop about it !?
-
psot a pic of the crack.
secondly you need to practice running concentrate on bouncin from one foot to the other then it will build up to a fast ish jog,
sprinting in bocks is possible its jus hard to stop and harder to keep it going as is very dangerous when you catch the hoof on the ground wrong

ill try n get a pic
bt its tiny
thnx for th advice

-
vans work well good on the projump straps coz their really chunky mad shoe
-
I have size 9 steel toe cap trainers, when I got out on my stilts, saves my little toes!! 8)
-
i wonder if different footwear effects your ability to jump higher...obviously heavy boots are going to make you heavier ......if you follow me
-
Thats quite a good point, I would say that it may have a slight effect what do you guys think?
-
Finally I have an excuse It's my size 13 feet and my beer belly making me to heavy to jump higher than 3 ft ;D
-
i wear size 9 converses or 10 trainers bt my trainers r massiv

-
yer i got mine recently and started to run the second day of buying them and of corse i fell over
what is the certain technique for running coz when i run i look like some kind of giant chicken
-
now i vaguelly remeber seeing a film with a giant chicken running in it ( set in the americian civil war with some peeps in a balloon crash landing on a desert island that had loads of giant animals that had been bioengineered by captain nemo)
But i dont remember it too well, so any chance of posting a vid?
Also where r u? there is a reasonable chance nowadays that there is some1 living close who could give you some tips in person
-

mysterious island 1961.
Well put yourself on the Map and put your location on your profile (will help peeps find you0
Do a search on your county and major towns in the area. May turn up somat.
But basically yes you will run with your legs splayed out a bit.
There r basically 2 ways to run with these.
a/ basically 'skip' , the original german invention is called a 'powerskip'
b/ told tummy taught and push down hard on springs and power yourself foreward
-
You will find that the brain will pretty soon work out that you need to have your legs a bit furthur apart -- so the banging of legs together should stop.
Also remember theses things make let you do what you would do on your feet 'only more so' So 1st off think what you would normally do re jumping etc and try and emulate.
Also jump thru the heel of your feet not on the balls ( tends to tip you foreward)
Dont look straight down loook at the ground 20 feet ahead 9 otherwise you tip body over again causing a lerch foreward when jumping
So get that jumping right, then add a few simple tricks star jump tuck jump split kick ( small ones gradually make them bigger).
Then we can add stuff
-
thanks loads that has answerd most of my question and has helped me
i didnt know about when you jump u have to jump on the heel ill try that out
also its hard to emulate normal running as the pads drag on the floor and trip me over

It's not so much running but jogging, you'll find you'll be going fastter than you think !?
-
hmm well at the moment i runing on the centre on the pad doing long strides using the spring to launch me forward but it is really hard to pick up speed
-
the pain will work on the brain and
a/ you will learn to lift your 'hooves' higher --- no scuffing permitted
b/ you will learn to correct/recover from a trip --- just as you do normal walking --- we all go str8 down 1st off also helps us to know falling over isnt actually all that painfull ---normally
-

i like the way u say it isnt all the painful-- normaly is this enquiring that if u fall over rong it basicly gonna hurt like f**k ???
-
4 people that I know ( ie I have actually met a fair few times each) have very obligingly posted on youtube vids of themselves fracturing bones.
The most recent is the most annoying. The BBC wants a lady bocker on tuesday for some filming ( a full program not just a clip) and sadly Becky has been told 'no bouncing 4 2 more weeks'.
So yes ordinary falling straight over whilst wearing pads should be just plain embarressing.
3 of the 4 above were trying to flip --so we have a month or 2 before we need to instruct you on them I trust ;D
-
so is that a yes it will hurt like f**k if u fall wrong with no protection?
