Title: Protection and gear?
Post by: JJags32MJD on November 28, 2007, 03:50:20 AM
Hey there, Im really looking forward to getting some bocks. And was wondering do you really need protection like pads, helmet, etc?

Thanks for helping a newbie out.

It's really important!

So important that some say to actually buy it before you buy your bocks  :)

Have a look at the following thread I went through all the basics there, and if you are unsure about anything just ask  ;)

its the same stuff as sk8 gear. Do you have a store near you where you could try before buying. Or mates with the kit you could try out?

Okay a few things :) one welcome to pro jump and I'm gLad u Hàve tooken a interest :) just a few things, 1,to be honest even just knee pads and wrist pads will do u fine just now, your not away to back flip or nhn your just starting out, so just get knee and wrist to start with if your like me and hate pads... 2. Don't buy stilts from ebay ! I did that and I got ripped off mega mistake, and what the hells that guy on about ^

i recommend a Pro tech helmet £about 40 on amazon but really comfy and snug and also motor cross knee pads.....it's taken me three years of bocking to fianally invest in any form of *protection xD

*and no Q not in that way

Well as resident n0ob I assure you this thread is appreciated.

Though perhaps more vigilant moderation, such as deleting or locking old threads is required?   :Ctongue:

Anyway, I have a helmet and pads and have just ordered some better pads as I actually... like safety gear...  :Cswoon:

Woot!
