News that some of you have been waiting for ;)
Calf cuffs are expected within a month, these will be available as a spare part or optional extra.
Prices still to be established but as always we will try to keep the price affordable.
These are now available to Pre-book at www.pro-jump.co.uk (http://www.pro-jump.co.uk/sitepage/calf-cuff-pre-order.html)
Our Pre-booking service doesn't require you to leave your card details or any deposit, it just means those who sign up for them first will get the chance to order them first :)

Hey Naz! Great news that we can now get calf cuffs! Signed up for some,but I have a question. Will I need to mod the stock knee bar to make them fit or will different parts need to be bought as well? Not that I mind modding stuff you understand...I hate my knee bars!!!!! :biggrin: :biggrin: :biggrin:

As far as am aware no modding will be required, you'd just have to take off the old knee bar and replace it with the cuffs.

They look like the poweriSer ones, the ones in the picture are the actual samples sent and what we are expecting, these are NOT poweriSer ones or a photoshoped image. ;)

these cuffs are legit I've seen a pair in action, no clue how the guy who had them got them. They're almost identical to Poweriser Cuffs, the only visual diff i could see is the padding inside the cuff is sectioned as opposed to a solid piece on the Sers. The buckle works the same. They've even got the same blue stitching down the edges of the strap.

Lol, i really hope they are less than £87, cos then Greg will be so p**sed off he ordered his from the middle of the med a couple of weeks ago...hehehe. I heard rumours about these, hopefully they will be available soon! :)

I think to be of any sort of appeal to the market they would need to be under £50.

Well as Jason's appeared AFTER the poweriSer 2007 cuffs, I would suspect he copied the idea from them. And poweriSer copied them from velocity motion stilts.
I suspect Pro Jump have also got the idea from poweriSer and VMS.

Indeed he does, which is why the poweriSer ones cost so much separate. I suspect the same will occur with projumps.

Some artificial limb sometimes use something more or less the same and back in 1954 cuffs where used on "pogo-stilts". So you must be real lost ! :biggrin:

I would imagine that some form of "Cuff" has been about since the first idiot decided that walking on stilts was a good idea even if it was just a length of rope to tie your leg in place
So patenting them as just a cuff would run into loads of problems but as an attachment to Bocks they could have a patent but it would be easy to get round if they could fit something else
A bit like snowboard bindings try patenting them now and you will find it hard unless they are radicaly different to all other bindings
The cost is normaly due to them being made in low numbers, if you have one made it costs a fortune, a short production run a lot less and full blown mass production cuts the costs by massive amounts
Sadly we are in the small production bit heading to the mass production league if they start to be fitted as standard
So they are gonna be expensive just like the first Bocks started at £600+ and are now down to £135
so the more of us that buy them the cheeper they will become :banana:

I'm right about to put myself down for the pre-order but I've a few questions:
a) They're compatible with 7Leagues T-Rex right? I know the kneebar assembly/ is pretty much standard across all the manufacturers, but I wanted to be sure.
b) How secure are the cuffs? The photo on the page ( http://www.pro-jump.co.uk/images/naz/PJ-CC.jpg ) doesn't show how the cuffs are attached to the new bars. Also, with the bars no-longer physically attached to each other is it more or less stable? (there's also the unpleasant possibility of impaling yourself on a bar, lovely :) ).
But I take it these things will be the best thing ever since sliced bocks bread?

I have fitted Cuffs to 7's on 2 ocations and you will need to get a set of the Pro-jump clamps (just the plastic bits but it might be worth getting the bolts as well)
The plastic clamps on the 7's are very thin and seem to be made of a softer plastic and when I tried to tighten them enough to stop the bars moving they just distorted but the Pro-jump ones are made of sterner stuff and seem to hold the bars well
The cuffs are bolted to the bar with a large washer on the inside so they shouldn't part company and if you did put enough stress on them to break the bolt I think you would have busted you leg by that time :haha:
The bars are so close to your leg you won't impail yourself on them and if you have thin legs they make it a lot easier than the hoops as you can put them closer together so you don't have to walk bow legged :biggrin:

they will feel more secure than a kneebar with any number of straps, and they'll be more comfortable at the same time. Cuffs Rock.

i have a pair for sale , only used once as could'nt get on with them , unfortunatley don't have the alloy clamps ,
but open to offers .

I don't even need to use the standard strap and I've tried a cuff and found it dug in my leg and couldn't get it comfortable :-\

I am not sure why you cant release the cost already, surely projump ( UK Good deals) know the cost of them already. My customers know how much a garment will cost them months before shipping, so I dont see why a price cant be released already.

It will be a couple of days still, prices can change & delays can happen at customs so I don't want to release info that may be subject to change.
