As seen on other forums I'm on I like the feature of a link for
Show unread posts since last visit
This can be done here, the URL is as follows;

This is VERY useful for those like me who need to get in/done/out in the smallest space of time before the boss sees!

I believe they'd need to update the forum to a newer version, which I've already suggested.
It would help get rid of spam too.

Matt already posted that link which is in general chat and is a sticky topic (at the top) so everyone can use it, I keep meaning to ask the boss guy whether we have that feature and how to use it. Will ask soon though

P.S Spam seems to have been reduced on a large scale after I changed the registration method to e-mail confimation.

you cant get rid of spam im a florist and they keep on trying to get it on my website
all you can do is keep on deleteing it
it just a fact of life and if we can take the p**s out of them it just makes us laugh rather than thinking blo**y spamers

Closer inspection I can see that the theme used on this forum does not include that link for reasons unknown. There is a manual mod that can be done to fix this but I'm not sure if anyone would want to be change codes on php scripts.
As an alternative, until we get an official response, you could always just bookmark the link I originally posted.

On the current theme we have set as the default it doesn't have this feature however if you want to change your default theme to the SMF default theme it will give you the option of reading unread messages
To change:
1. Click profile
2. On the left hand side there is some options
-- go to the modify section and click on the look and layout preference
3. Then the first option is current theme
-- Click change and choose the SMF Default theme
that should sort it out for now
In the mean time we are looking to make changes to the forum so keep your suggestions coming!
