Title: how do you get up off the ground with calf cuffs on?
Post by: jemus1101 on February 18, 2011, 10:59:54 PM
so most people know how to get up with the knee bar on where you put 1 leg forwards and 1 back and then push up on the knee bar(which i still havent got how to do yet ;)  ) but with calf cuffs on there is not much to push on with my hands. what are peoples techniques?

You shouldnt be putting pressure on the knee bar, check out the following http://www.projumpforum.co.uk/index.php?page=Getting-Up-After-A-Fall

I use the conventional method. But you don't really have to push on the knee. Just lean over it and pop up.

Or I'll use this method when I'm feeling crazy.

A few thing here Locky

Firstly that parody vid was and exact documentry of the first time I fell over  :Claugh:
Including the falling when trying to put one leg up  and the long crawl to a wall

Secondly I have now adapted my Bar Stool to have a set of haversack straps on it so I have it with me whenever I fall  :Claugh:
Also handy if I need a break  while bocking  But hurts when you fall on it  :Ccry:

Thirdly
MAKE MORE VIDS like that one and post them in a Locky Explains post on here mate

Your a Legend mate

Proper, hearty laughing at your parody Locky.....genius.

Fell in the middle of my little quiet, quite wide road yesterday. Looking around after that first fall without bar stool, it felt like everything was as far away for me too.

1) take stilts off
2) walk to a table
3) put stilts back on :)

Thats all very well for you Xoxos

When I'm on the floor my belly gets in the way of me undoing my stilts  :Claugh:

So the crawl to the table is the less embarassing

kinda, it goes by a different name though its called Bockmore you can get it at http://www.bockmore.com/workthatbellyoff.html  :Claugh:

Gosh I haven't been on here in ages and haven't bocked for ages (Bike accident, bad weather, work accident, stuff) but I could do K-Rocks method of getting up... actually that was the only way I could get back up right without taking them off. Will need to dust my bocks off and get going again now that I am all healed :D
