Title: Increasing amount of spam

I have noticed there is becoming an ever more increasing amount of spam accounts
I think it needs to be adressed and i suggest maybe extra moderators or more security on registration

To be honest mate it goes in waves

This one is a small one so far I have had them when 30 in one hour would have been a nice break  :Claugh:

Whatever security etc we put in place against spam bots is normally got around on the next wave so it is a hiding to nowhere

Naz does keep things up to date but it is a loosing battle

We do apreciate guys like you sending us mail so we can catch them ASAP but with the best will in the world we all have day/night jobs and can't be online all day

Agreed with Jason, I've deleted rather a lot in the past 72 hours. It will go.

I know it's annoying but it's not like our forum is full of months old spam or full of porn links.

The SMF version is woefully out of date, updating that helps a bit, but doesn't solve the problem.
