Date: TUESDAY August 16th 2011 11am until we die.

The bay is about 10-15mins walk from Cardiff Central train station…down one long street.

I will look at getting our gym booked for this day as well but not sure what times would be best yet.

Please state in this thread only if you are coming, or if you think you can come but need to check and can confirm at a later date.
I will keep this first post updated.
In 2008 we had about 120 bockers, this year I'd be happy if we only hit 40.
If anyone would like to stay over in a hotel then I would suggest speaking to me first.

i think i have just watched all of the possible 2008 cb videos on you tube today and it was defiantly the best ever time iv had on stilts i hope the turn out is as good as it was then was amazing !!!!

I can't believe more people aren't interested in this.

In my opinion Cardiff Bay is the best bocking spot in the UK, having things to challenge everyone from those just starting to those who find backflips easy.

Yeah I'm not bothered with the numbers and I know tuesday is awkward for those who work but like Athoul says this is one of those events you don't want to pass by and regret it.
I dont mind if we only get 20 people there but we'll probably have more welshbockers there than that!

I'm still not sure about Gym at the moment. If we can get it, it wont be for free. Probably charge people £2 each or something. Really depends on numbers and how long we need the gym for.

Ok well I'm coming on tuesday. I'm in the uk till the end of the month so it would be stupid of me not to. Cardiff bay is a awesome place to jump around for any skill level.

So I booked some time off work, going to hire a car. Pick up Simeon (kiola) and spend some time with some welshes!  :PJ101Ian:

So thats 2 more you can add to your list locki.

Also if anyone staying longer than the day let me know where you staying so me and simeon can book the same place and join the party fun. (Nobody camping?)

Quick update for you. We've not been able to book a gym. Our usual 2 gyms wont allow this as it exceeds our insurance and they are not willing for it to be an activity on their insurance.

I have some work committments that I cannot get out of so I'm not going to be there all day but I don't see how that changes anything really. I'm not yet sure when I'll be there, I'm still trying to juggle work hours around.

We should have 3 or 4 slacklines up in the area and probably some music of some sort aswell. Feel free to bring your ipod.

Can I just remind anyone coming via the M4 that you will need to pay to get into wales and they only take CASH. I think it's about £5.10 but it does change frequently.
It's kinda like Alton Towers. You pay to get in and then all the rides (on sheep) are free.

Asda, next junction down the A4232 bypass which is right next to the bay area. Asda is next to Ikea.

Great day out just got back. I'm all bocked out completely, leg cramps lol.

Was loads of fun, met some old faces I've not seen in years. And met some new ones.

The welsh bockers have some talented jump stilters that was really great to see. I'm sure you will see in the videos to come. But well worth the trip.

Yeah we got real lucky with the weather. It rained this morning and it didnt properly dry the bay surface until about 2pm but we made do with what we had.

Seeing as this was on a weekday I think we had about 35-40 of us which isnt bad. I think I'll do a write up about it shortly because even with not many people we really showed to ourselves and the bocking community that this sport isnt fading away and we were all out there having the time of our lives today.

Does anyone know if any other groups were present other than WB, RR's, EA's and the NEWC's? I'd like to include logos on the video im doing.
I dont think there were any JJ's but I could be wrong.

thanks for the great day locky and the welsh bockers was a great location good weather really enjoyed it great turn out as well :) thanks for the hoofs matey will be back next year was made to feel really welcome :)

some of the risers raptors have a bit of a crash magt sesh when we got back with what little energy we had left before the sun went down and i managed to do my first front flip attempt on my stilts (didnt have the courage before lol)
