Nice, I've seen this. I prefer to wrap it in a spiral. There is a tutorial in the "mods" section. For one thing, wrapping it in a spiral gives you two layers of rubber, and for second, it can be put on without taking the spring off. I would encourage you to put spring protection on before you use your bocks a whole lot.

Ditto BitLord

I find it easier to spiral wrap and it gives you 2 coats if you overlap it

Well I just tried this for starters, I can always add gaffer or duct tape to the inner-tube as well, since should I need to remove it it will only be stuck in the tube and not the spring which will save the spring getting all mashed up and gross.

 :Cyes:

Anyway, I have done this and will be on my first real bocking session today!

I'll do a wrap style later. This was just to save some time.
I find it odd that they don't manufacture actual spring guards!

What and deny everyone all the fun of making their own

The best ones when you start throwing yourself on the floor a lot (Think we call it Extreme  :Claugh: ) are the bike trye type they give max protection and look good even after a fall

Yes, I'll be making some hardcore tyre guards soon! Just been hit by some big water and gas bills on top of my monthly travel card, rent, power, tv and mobile bills so I need to see if I can afford more stuff....

I see a lot of people on here using pro jump exo's and covering the spring with an inner tube (which is super smart), but not many people using powerisers like mine (I am in the US) which came with rubber covering the spring from the factory. Just wondering the difference between the two brands. And should I further the covering of the springs with some kind of tape over the already existing rubber. You guys are my wealth of knowledge. Thanks a ton for any input.

Pro-Jump/Air Trekkers have a rubber cover but additional ones are beneficial.
I'm working some guards made from tyres next.

All Bocks can do with extra protection as just walking or traveling them can damage the spring if the frame hits the spring
The only exception are Powerskips which came with some awesome protection (I have even seen that removed by a bad flip attempt) (Opal  :Claugh:)

The level you put on depends on how extreme you are intending to go

I would say overprotect them and you won't go wrong

This is a fairly good way and it looks good and is light
