Title: Newbies!
Post by: Locky on December 26, 2012, 06:05:33 PM
If you've just had new projumps for christmas and read about the projumpforum in the manual and came here to check it out here are a few things you need to know and you WILL learn them the easy way, or most likely, the hard way.

1. Get some fricking pads on your wrists.
2. If its wet on the ground, you don't go bocking. Really.
3. Literally one step at a time. Don't expect to be flipping or jumping 6 feet in the air on new years eve.
4. Get some fricking pads on your wrists.
5. Be safe. The more time you spend on your stilts, the quicker you will learn but take it easy.

There ya go, Lockys top 5 tips. Also ASK US. Many of us have been doing this for quite a few years now.

(btw this was my 2500th post on the forum. I'm a total nutjob but I know what I'm talking about!)

Welcome to the fantastic world of bocking and I look forward to meeting you at a meet up in the new year :)

Total agreement Locky

Only two things to add

1. Get some fricking pads on your wrists.  :Claugh:
2. Ditto elbows and knees and a helmet if you are normal like me (accident prone)

Take note and get some pads on your wrists.
I had a fall a while ago just after getting my new exo's, the fall wasn't that bad but it did manage to chip the bone in my elbow which put me out of bocking for a bit but finally (about three years after joining the sport) i've got myself some pads.
