out of red at the minute folks...
i still have blue, yellow, black, rainbow, and any combination of those...
all colours are generally fitted with a black centre strap to hide the dirt on falls etc as its more practical...
except the rainbow straps which are all multi coloured....looks better for that colour....
i can also make leather pads for the standard elite version by request
they are bling and are much much better and proffesional looking, but they cost more to make obviously, as i back them in felt aswell to pad them....all depends on your pocket INIT...

all felt pads are velcro'd both sides as some old versions wasnt
because they still attatched well, but if you keep undoing them, they wear quicker i noticed, so both sides are needed... it was originaly time saving, but not really being practical on my part....time saves money for both parties, and all that jazz....especially when your making 20 pairs...
the last 40 or so ive made have been the double velcro pads
so its cool.... although i use leather ;-) cus i can ....

Haven't had a PM from you.. Is it still ok to get a pair of the elite straps?

I've been out a few times now an have noticed when I've been out for a long time the strap I have come's loose... Also my friend had the calf cuffs, so I decided to try them, glad I took your advice - "Try Before you Buy!" I didn't get on with them at all! They felt really loose, however may just have been his cuffs..

If possiable any chance of getting the straps for the meet in Feb?

right then, firstly, yes i still make straps as not all get on with the cuff....
as you all know, i'm kinda not a big fan of cuffs, pahhhh
thats why i invented the straps etc, but i think cuffs are, or will be
the way to go when one is completely sturdy, doesnt wear at the bolt, tightens well and doesnt slip, and is adjustable to fit slim legs
these are things i have heard from numerous people, and i also think the same.. yes, some of you are happy with yours
and some have had to adapt things to become happy with them...
but most are not happy straight out of the box....
but after trying quite a few, and seeing what teething problems
they create im going to MAKE SOME....
what made me do this was, ive just purchased a pair of CUFFS
yes i did say it, CUFFS, i had to try the latest offerings to see what they were like....hmnnnnnn
and as my leg is slim, i cant get them tight, the outer skin is too big
for me to pull it where i want it, the ends meet before this happens
and also the velcro has to wrap over my bar which is just crap...
and my first major gripe on opening them was,
(and this is what most big companies do to keep prices low or gain extra profit)  but not all i suppose...(theres my cover)
they are stitched by (but not in all cases)   (ditto)
tyeng dum nipple,  or,  gupty tanka dimash potatoe, for next to nothing, (names are purely ficticious and bare no resemblance to anyone whatsoever, well lets hope not lol) poor them if it is...
this is part of the reason why some fall appart, and if they dont, they still look nasty....a little extra care and time would go a long way, why rush something, especially when sales are not 1 an hour

now i have designed upto 4 different types, i didnt realise how easy they were to make, woohoo, that shocks me all the more, what people charge for them, except pro jump, they did reduce to a cant grumble price, and considering you get bars in that cost etc, fair doo's....anyhows.....
1 is just a better quality made version of what we know already but has no chance of coming loose as its fastening method is different and i think tidier looking...alot of you know how neat my work is
so you will kind of know what the outcome will be like....
the others are kind of prototypes lol...with various methods of padding out and locking them tight, yes you can add or remove padding to your liking with some of them... its all built into the cuff
theyre also not completely black, there are options to add colour
of your choice in some areas...
when ive decided what model, and a few of team sky high have tested them to the max, i will post pictures...
and should after seeing them, pro jump or 7's want the design,
because it will be an improvement trust me.. i will gladly help you, after all, its the recognition i like, not the profit...but you better stitch em nice ;-)

but please, this is my strap thread not cuffs, so dont overflow it with cuff talk problems or good sides or whatever.., its purely information what im making...i will start a new thread when im ready to post some pictures..then you can ask all you wish... thanks

AND to anyone who doubts pins strap quality i say this..... "hush thy noise, they are stuff of legends" especially the straps with leather pads, oh they rock hard

right, a cuff is made ;-) its stitched NEAT
it wont fall appart, its stronger too....it also is shaped
slightly different, not that that matters, but hey, it looks better...
its based on a standard cuff but has
quite a few changes pinhead stylie, it has a 3 way interchangable pad system, to adjust to suit the user, it tapers at the back
at both top and bottom,  it fastens better
it has options to add or remove padding
it will fit even the thinnest of legs....it looks tidy and how they should be made,
i have many versions on the go, including
double quick release, binding ratchet, and a secret one lol... etc, but what you have to remember is,
even if you have a quick release, the strap to the one end
still has to be adjustable, which means there are still
ways it may come loose, but not if ive got anything to do
with it, it wont ;-)
also there isnt much side room for a buckle, which means it would
come near the front, although generally, the knee impacts not the cuff
itself....

Hey I am no expert on this. But I have skinny legs and have tried a couple of pairs off cuffs. I now have projump cuffs. I am happy with them but to say that there is a perfect cuff on the market atm would be a lie.

I am not suggesting stuff here. But just saying what kinda things I dont like about cuffs. If I am honest, I was happy with the knee bar. With webbing they were perfect. I decided to get cuffs they did feel nice to use. I would have got your straps if I didnt go for cuffs.

When I first put my cuffs on, before I had even set them up I was a little sad Black is so boring. I had stripy knee bars and I really liked it that way. The cuffs are not really easily customizable. It would be really good to have cuffs in other colours like red 

If I didnt wear the knee/shin pads the cuffs would be too small. At the mo they cant be any thinner, because they would have a kinda gap at the almost "corners" of the cuffs. They are set up ok now, if they were thinner they would be too thin for me but I do need the kneepad on, which is fine. I like wearing those knee pads

I have used both PJ and 7s cuffs, neither are perfect. the 7's ones lack padding and are not as comfortable. I am not sure if this is to do with the tapered back part or what. I think if the back is tapered it needs a certain amount of padding. And they dont have it. However, I like the way you do them up better on the 7's. The PJ method is growing on me. Although they are both the same really but 7's have D rings and PJ's have the other weird thing. Its just harder with the PJ cuffs and I always break my nails undoing them

And thats all I have to say about cuffs. I like them, a little more than the knee bars but I think the design is far from perfected so i think it is great something is being done. A step forward

ok firstly spud, i know exactly what you mean,
ive bought some as i said, but was dissapointed and decided to make
some myself... today i finished the design im intending to do
it looks different and is well stitched lol...
without going through everything thats on them, and there is a lot

i tried them on this morning, OMG they didnt move, felt really comfy
and the best bit, it felt like i was using a bar still ;-) honestly...
i will post pics soon when i get a good camera lol
ive actually removed what everyone hates about cuffs
i never attempt to do something unless i know i can better it
and ive gotta say, i knew they would be
nice and neat strong etc cause im a fussy git, but, i never expected them to turn out as good, ive made a 3 way interchangable internal pad system, posh huh, ok the chav description, theres 3, you can change them, and theyre inside,,, each pad can be removed or changed, made bigger, made smaller, washed, or put in your bra....
this gives the option to fit even the skinniest of legs, but also the way ive designed and placed the buckle loops, that also helps,but will explain more when the pics go up.......youll see then...
did i say they had thick padding ;-)
a few close friends have seen them briefly on cam, im a tease
they drooled, offered dirty sex and everything, ewwww
i will be making these for people, either for just the cuff part
or i can eventually, supply the bars and the metal bracket
but you can try them at meets first, im that confident, you'll run away with them, but dont, i kill you....
as i said, yesterday i was still a bar man, today ive shocked myself
i do believe ive changed the cuff to another level, they feel like no other....
i will also keep prices as low as i can, its recognition i want, not profit, but just enough to keep stock rolling in so i can make more....
but give me time, they take ages....

its just im a fussy b.......... maybe to fussy at times
but being this way, helps me make a quality product
and its not about bettering companies and things like that
its for me, its the way ive always been ....
i enjoy making things, and inventing stuff, and if i help people
its an added bonus...
if i see improvement, i go for it, if i have the means to do so....
 i know big companies have to go where they can get things done, at the best prices, and being a sewing b***h now, doesnt help lol
thats originally what i was going to improve on, with a bit more comfort thats it, but i stumbled onto a winner in the process
its shocked but excited me, it really really works well....
down side is, ive missed 2 days sleep, i'd put my head down, and  then think of something else i could do with them..... but know im complete, and going to BED nite nite ;-)

Well done Pin nice to see you've finally seen the Cuff light 

When you get Cuffs to fit properly they are so comfy and feel much safer than the bar

I found that although my homemade ones were perfect they were a pain to make and the cost of producing them would have made them to expensive for most
Cutting, flattening and drilling the bars and making the shaped washer was time consuming but I just don't like the wide ends on the bars (just fussy I guess)

I can't wait for the Pics get that camera going mate and stop keeping us all in suspenders

if so is it all tightly secured to the stilts and put together right if so check that it is pushing ur leg intothe bar one on ur knee one on ur calf if its still feels loose then try gettin someone to help u that has them like me XD

is the strap coming in an X in-front of the knee-bar? it should come from in-front of the knee-bar, go straight round your leg at the back, and come down the front again.

The strap shouldn't be entirely inside the knee-bar, as that doesnt hold your leg to anything solid...

the front of the knee-bar should look like an X with a | through it where the strap is held on, not a | with the strap INSIDE the knee-bar...


I feel like i repeated myself a lot there, which i probably did. If it explained the problem to you, no worries. If not, post a picture, and we'll tell you what's wrong.

yes they are alright ive look at the pictures on the post and they look set up trhe smae but not tight i'm geting more tightness with the normal strap but thats not tight enuff thats why ive bought the straps

I have no idea why he doesnt get back to you ... but hes never got back to me either... i suggest trying the other dude on here for straps as he does get back to you ....cant remember his name, but its in classifieds
