 :o Don't tighten too much !
They should have been OK.
What you maybe hearing is the spring, new springs are a little stiff to start with but soon become more flexable.
Or it could be ...... The white brick fallen out ( A small spacer ) Do a search for WHITE BRICK.
You should also read up about TYRE BOOTS

just a normal bike tyre cut into a couple lengths and held there with a couple of jubilee clips..
the creeking should go by itself in time, mine did

The white spacer should be ( not all have them ??? ) Infront of the spring where the metal bar from the foot plate meet it !
Boots save the rubber on the hoofs and can give better grip !
If you use the " Search " option at the top of the page you'll find lots about both  :)
Check MOD topics !?

Inner tubes, Hockey tape, Gaffer tape over the bubble rap.

I left the bubble rap on and then covered it in gaffer tape then put a strip of hazard tape down to make it look good :P

Hi, I wrapped my springs in a long continuos strip of mountain bike inner tube I cut along it's length. Check out the stilt gallery.  It makes a good thick, flexible layer.  GB

Tight up may help just don't over do it !
Say that I have this problem. You may find the black plactic spacers a little bit wore !?
I just put a very thin bit of paper in the gap, worked for me !
But it maybe too badly wore or could even be cracked if that the case they'll have to replace it !
