Why are the Powerskip's so expensive?
« on: December 16, 2007, 04:56:47 PM »
The powerskip are more expensive than our own branded Pro-Jump stilts for a few reasons.

1. The Powerskips are not mass produced like other brands. This reason alone means that they cost more to make.

2. The Powerskip is targeted towards professional and extreme users and made using the highest quality parts:
Quote from: Powerskip.de website
...Because of the application of high strenght aluminium alloys for the structural parts and the use of high performance compound materials like E-glasrovings (as in rotor blades of  helicopters) for the spring, a total weight of 3.5 kg per each is achieved. For comparison: The spring force is similar to a spring in the wheel suspension of a small car. The sole weight of such a spring is about 3.5 kg.

3. The spring used in the Powerskip is regarded as the most responsive spring currently available. This means in order to get the maximum height from it less effort is required.

The most important thing to remember is that Powerskips won't make you get extra height out of the box as that is all dependent on the user ability - As seen by Pro-Jump 101 and other extreme Pro-Jump users, if your technique is correct you can get 7ft high jumps on Pro-Jump Stilts which will cost you only £135. However if you are serious about PowerBocking or use stilts professionally, and want to get a better experience and performance with less effort the Powerskip is the best stilts for this purpose.

The majority of professionals use Powerskip jumping stilts such as Swebounce

Also major theater companies also choose the Powerskips as their preferred choice  such as the Lord of the Rings musical currently been shown at The Theater Royal Drury Lane in London:
