Wear pads and wristguards and a helmet to it only takes one fall without pads to ruin your day or if your unlucky like me your month (yes it took that long for the wrist to mend
I found a big stick helped at first (first to prop yourself up and then as a safety prop for when you loose your ballance)
Read gillyberts posts he seems to have got a good training system with the hopping from foot to foot and playing catch to improve your ballance
