My first time on projumps
« on: January 06, 2008, 10:13:02 PM »
Hey guys.
Went in to the center of Derby today and had a good 3 or 4 hours on my projumps :)

I found that the strap on the knee bar that tightens your knee securely isn't all that great, so I will be investing in some of Pinheads straps shortly :)

Also, wow! These really do make you feel worn out haha, My legs were aching after I'd done, walked through shopping centers and stuff, but security made me leave because they weren't for 'disability' needs.

I can jump about 1ft high, go me!! :)

Also, Im going to need to make myself a tire sock I think because yeah, these feet seem to wear out quick, obviously these are brand new still but you can see where they have worn a bit.

Didn't fall over either! Had 2 friends to lean on when needed haha, just found my springs kept colliding because i didnt keep my feet straight, got better as the day went on though.

As for jumping, I remembered what was said somewhere on the forum about putting the weight in to the heels, and not the balls of the feet, and that made me a bit unbalanced, but i started to master it a bit :).

Thanks guys
Liam

Nice one elam
Looks like you are having fun on them!

With the kneebar, you can also use webbing until you invest in PinHeads straps http://www.projumpforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=1395.0 heres some instructions.

Also if you find theres a gap, fill them out with knee/shin pads or you could try a swimming noodle or pipe insulin see http://www.powerbockresources.com/noodlemod.htm

Theres a few ways to do tyre socks so check out all your options here http://www.projumpforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=1261.0

with practice you will soon master the basics  ;)
