I agree with tundraH, if we know height, weight, and age we can give advise on spring weights

Considering you are 70kg (I did ask for kg but you gave stones  ) You are at the top* of the M70's weight range anyway.  So I would say you should go for M90's as you are still growing and you should always go for 10kg up anyway.

* I think M70 means the top weight is 70kg, there are so many different weight ranges an such.

Weight, That's important
Build. True the more muscular you are the more you can use
But what's height and age got to do with springs  ???

Actually, age helps determines if he has stopped or is still growing.  Therfore he will gain weight quicker while going through puberty, filling out.
Ok you may have me with height.  It may only be helpful for determining if people should us the kids or the adult version.

Im gonna get some 90s cos i got 60s when i first got stilts (i only weigh 50kg) and i was bottoming them out and then i snapped one so i just got 70s and aidan says i am nearly bottoming them out and i havnt had them long so when i next buy springs im getting 90's

The springs arnt strong enough for me  :-\

I love to bounce :Straddle5:

I think tundraH's spot on, on your first one its fine going up just 10kg but on your second one going 20kg and in some case even 30kg is fine as it them all depends on your technique and how strong your bounce is. 90's are probably best for you unless you think you are strong enough for 100's.

Aiden if you call up Pro-Jump and tell then you want to take up the offer of £75 for a set of springs that you saw on the forum they will do that price for you rather than paying £90 through the PJ website

ive been thinking exactly the same thing as i can bottom mine out whenever i want to.
think the 120 is overkill?
will it add a lot of hight if im throwing my weight into it?

It all depends on how much you weigh Nero and how good your technique is tbh Nero, if you go too higher than your weight you will get tired very quickly!

mhhmmmm, i think i need to try a few different weigh ranges before i actually pay for new springs, what you saying Naz? meet at the bocking warehousewith a set of each weight to try, like an open day?
on a serious note, is there anyone coming to birmingham in march that use's high weight springs?

All springs have a optimum weight/height ratio the amount of power you can put into the spring, which will give the user about the same heights. You can max out and break the spring if your heavy or try too hard, if your too light or under power you'll not get height.
So 120 maybe over kill then again maybe not  ???

Just pointing out that bigger spring isn't the only thing to think of, there no piont just getting the biggest if you can't use them the power in them, you've got to find the right balance !?
( Noted I didn't piont out 120's arn't the biggest you can have  ???  :nana: )

I love my 90's, only 26kgs over my real body weight, and been seen nearly bottoming them out, but will stay will 90's till I can bottom them out with a problems, then move onto 100's or similar springs

I would go for 90's, because you are still growing, and you will be able to bottom out 80's in next to no time

For comparison purposes..

weight- 75 kg
age-25
build- medium

For my first pair of stilts, I had 110 kg (poweriZer) springs.
After a month or two, I could bottom them out when bouncing, but it took a lot of work to get that far, mind you.  (Very exhausting.. :P )  I would say it was a mistake to start out that high.  (Note: Seller 'misrepresented' them as a lower weight, I didn't go for 110's on purpose...)

My new springs are (poweriSer) 90120 (approx 100 kg?), and I could bottom them out immediately, with ease..   :(  ...but I get good height

Best rule of thumb is go for a pair about 20% over your weight. They maybe stiff to start with but once you get bouncing you'll find you may need the extra
The frames are all the same so the are all the same weight !?
