They have basically been through the forum gallaries and taken what they wanted, there are loads of the JJ's and several of Kiolas photos

I don't understand the problem?

Why is it bad that your pic is on another site?
It means they liked it. Be happy! ;)
Everyone's dreams sit aloft a rungless ladder. Some ladders are higher than others. Some are so tall they reach high above the clouds - but everyone can see their dream. Most people see that their ladder has no rungs and although they may talk about climbing it one day, seeing no way to get there, they eventually give up and settle for what lies beneath it.
The brave however, the wise, the imaginative and the strong of will seek out their missing rungs. They learn all they can about the ladder, they surround themselves with friends and family who would also find the rungs, and failing all else they craft the steps themselves with their own two hands from nothing. Sometimes a rung breaks and the person falls. Some of these people will fall too hard and lose the strength to climb again - Yet they feel comfort in knowing they tried. They became better for it. And they experienced things and witnessed sights upon the climb that those who sat forever beneath it will never know.
Then there are the special few who find new steps, or fix and climb again the ones that failed. Who eventually, through sheer tenacity and courage come to reach the final rung - Only they will have their dreams fulfilled. The extraordinary then build new ladders. These are the strongest people of all.

The problem is that they feel that if its on the internet is free, they are taking copywrited pictures and using them on their own sites to sell stilts, this is against the law.

If they asked it wouldn't be so bad but they never ask permission.

Yep 1 company not only used a whole load of pix without permission. Some of the people were not on the stilts being sold!!

But also used pictures of people in a charity event --with no aknowldgement or donation ---bit mean that one >:(

The real problem is they use them to promote something else  >:(
I'd be happy if they said told people what to picture really from but the way they are using them mean their taking credit and claim for their springs.  >:(
I don't mind anyone asking for a picture. I took loads at Norwick ( The one they stole the lad asked me to take it ) If your in it then you can have it ( Not the photoshoped one I post ).

I'm will sell picture to people if they've used it on a website without asking first for £10,000

I think thats the prob, they are ignorant to the fact the images belong to someone and that just because they are on the internet they are not "free" to use as they want and where they want.

The images in this gallery have been taken before as well without permission and I've always resisted applying a watermark to them as it often spoils the picture but if you guys want me to do so let me know and I will.

Rather than get into the "take my picture off of you site" arguement

Why not gather all the people whose pics they have used without permision and send the site a bill for the use of said pics

Lets say a reasonable £500 - £1000 per use of each picture  :haha: you can prove they are yours I mean your in the Bl**dy things

So don't get mad get rich

I think that would be the best way forward Jason, If there's someone who is good at letter writing then maybe a template for members of the forum to use will be ideal. I doubt they will pay but I bet my kids wii that they will remove them pretty fast  ;)

However you put it need to make sure that by moving it, it is benifiting more people than not.

Some the of invicta bockers were planning to come join us on the Sat and they cant move it to Sun because they have there own meet.

I think we should keep it to sat. But if anybody would like to meet up on Sunday I will be around if you like because I live fairly local. Dan and gixer might be able to make it too I hope lol.
