i agree, the film is wrong, Optimus Prime is a European truck, not a long nose american one (like in the new film) other than that it was ace!!

Plus, if you're going to rant about Prime being a Peterbuilt, you may as well rant about Bumblebee being the 2009 concept Camaro instead of a Volkswagen Beetle, Jazz being a Pontiac Solstice instead of a Porsche 935 Turbo, Ironhide being a GMC Topkick instead of a van, AND Ratchet being a search and rescue vehicle instead of an ambulance?
And what about Megatron being a jet instead of a Walther P38? Starscream being a F-22 Raptor instead of a F-15 Eagle? Barricade being a Saleen S281E rather than an F1 car? Blackout being a MH-53M Pave Low IV helicopter instead of a Micromaster? Frenzy being a boombox instead of a casette stored in Soundwave? Brawl being a M1 Abrams Tank instead of a Leopard 1 tank? Bonecrusher being a Armored Vehicle instead of a Bulldozer?
It's called updating the series for a new, modern mainstream audience, personally I thought they did it fantastically well and the film totally outdid my expectations. If you're expecting to go and see it and it be exactly the same as what you watched as a kid, you're in a for a shock. It's new, it's different, and it is so much better.
