On mine i have:

Normal coating
1x Electrical tape
Foil tape
Inner tube
Duct tape
2x Electrical tape
And then finally a strip from a tire tread


I think I went a bit OTT with that

i just did mine i used electrical tape and i got 10 small roles for £1.00 in 5 different colours i put 4 layers on each spring
