Stilt problems

Just attached my new springs, tightened everything and made sure plastic inserts were in the right places and right way up.

Now when I bounce I seem to get a secondary judder as if the springs are bouncing back down. Really offputting at the moment

I have checked all the nuts and bolts and they seem ok , some black debris around the lowest bush on the hoof but checked them and they seem ok.

If I anchor the hoof and pull slightly on the stilt there is movement, but this seems to be normal having checked against Jesters.

I had this on my projumps before i sold them and got 7's instead.

Here are the pics i took which explains what caused the vibrations/rattle on mine:







As you can see the metal has worn a hole through the brass fitting.

Send a nice email to Naz and she should be able to sort you out if thats the problem

Black Debris around one Stilt. Judder more pronounced in one stilt but starting to get the same on the second.

Dismantled and checked this evening, not been able to test since rreassemble due to it pouring down with rain !!!!

The bushes on my PJs seem to be plastic, not sure how they come out to inspect ? if at all.

can u take photo of black debris  and localise the judder?  which 'joint'?

It's not the bolts between the spring and black brackets not being tighten right 
If they are loose it feels a bit like a double bounce 
Try holding spring and bracketand wobble then

The backet that hold the spring to frame, the two bolts can work loose and makes the spring rock and feels like a second bounce ? Happened to me thought the pivet had broken but tighten the bolts and it was fine

Ok I assume you mean the top bracket (its the only one I can see that is black)

If your bushings are worn they will wear out in a similar fashion to Athouls.



the set up is fairly similar to the one above and they are found in 4 places, top & bottom of springs, under footplate and the joint shown in the pic. Should be fairly easy to see wear on them.

i had a secondary judder which didnt make a sound but when happened when i walked on my new m100s the other week it went after about 2 days after i had been bouncing on them a fair bit !
