Squeking ??
« on: August 16, 2006, 07:10:48 PM »
Hey guys

I've had my powerisers since the 10th of august (my birthday:) ) and they've been squeking pretty much as soon as i started using them, it hasnt got any worse but has just been a constant annoyance.

So first question is is this normal? and if not what causes it?

Second question is how the hell do i stop it squeking?!?!?!? its so very annoying lol I left it at first incase it was just because they were new and needed wearing in but i think that time frame has passed now.

I also havent done anything to fix it yet because i wasnt sure if lubricant would melt anything or have any other adverse affects on any parts?

Please help.

Ben

The joint is where my squeak was. The bit that looks like the knee joint, back to front. If that makes sense...

All about the WD40 baby!! Spray everywhere theres movement is the simple answer.

Ideally, have a mate to hand. You have a walk, they spray, you have a little walk again and try to locate where the squeek or "honking" is coming from - repeat as necessary. We do this before setting out on each occaision.

I found that if you use the WD40 then it is best to spray some on then bounce the stilt you have just sprayed a little to let it move and allow the WD40 to get into the joint properly. But then, hey presto, silent as they can be.

For a while anyway. I find I have to spray them every few sessions. Then again I never seem to go out on mine for less then 4-5 hours at a time.

Mine did'nt squeek for a good 2 days but once you start bouncing they will

I found that the noise did'nt seem to come from the actual joints but from the white plastic packers so try spraying them (do front and back) with either wd40 or I prefer silicon grease it seems to last longer

So did mine until they fell out keep an eye on them or you lose them when they drop out

If you lose them try this
