trouble getting spares
« on: July 31, 2008, 03:54:47 PM »
I am having trouble getting some parts for my stilts I need :- 2x lower brackets, and 2x Metal tubes for the bottom foot bolts rang projump but because there is no part number in the manual I was told that these parts are not available as spare parts. I know th brackets are because of other threads on here.

Please help as I need to get them fixed before CB

To start with you need to sort out which version of the stilts you have

http://www.projumpforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=1578.0

If you have version 1 or 1-b you are out of luck with the bottom bracket as I had the last set and gave them to someone to repair a set of stilts

As far as I know spares are available for all the later versions give Naz a PM and she will do her best to sort you out

please send me a pm with pics of the parts you require & I'll see if I can price them for you and check if they are in stock, also as Jason said please let us know what version you are using.

Not taking a pop here or anything Naz,just passing comment... The PJ website is pretty scanty when it comes to spares... At some point we're all gonna need new parts and easily obtainable "like for like"  replacements  make life a lot easier for everyone. For instance, the 7 League shop advertises that their bushings(aka "Glide bearings") will fit other brands of stilts....Can't buy those from the PJ website and they're consumable parts....Most folks aren't really into making their own stuff or modding parts to make them work ,so being able to buy seperate components ( on the understanding that the relevant parts are installed at the user's own risk) = Money in the ol' PJ bank account and happy bockers.... Cheers for the PJ postcards BTW, arrived yesterday!

I agree with what nobby said. It's ok how it is now but could be improved in the future but I think it is something you already know..You said you were going to but the bushings on there ages ago lol

Yeah I was, and still need to put many things on the site, we are having some issues with the software we use to upload products hence the delay currently... and I also keep forgetting  :-[

I priced up a set of those "Glide bearings" when I first looked into changing mine at £66 a set it was a little rich for my pocket

Reason being what it is an' all....Why do bockers jump higher on 7's than PJ's?....Their pockets are lighter if they bought 7's...
