We're all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it, that's all.

Try this experiment Silly_Willy

Take a bike tyre and bend it with your hands (easy compared to the next bit )
Now take your PJ spring and try the same (Having trouble yet )

The tyre will bend easily when you jump on it and make no diference to the action of the spring so don't worry

I tried bending a set of 60's once by hand (no frame attached and not leaning it on the ground) it did flex a little but I am rather large

On a more serious not though Silly_Willy I would suggest that you run the idea of Bocks past your doctor first as although I don't think walking on them or even some light bouncing would do any damage to your condition high bouncing of a serious fall might make it a lot worse so better to be safe than sorry and get some professional advice first just in case

Heres my attempt of protecting the springs with a Bike tire.
Below are all the tools and items needed to do this modification

Items
26" Bike Tyre (Asda £10)
20ish Zipclips/cableties

Tools
Crafting Knife
Hacksaw
Drill

Firstly i cut the tire in half using the craft knife to cut the bulk tire and the hacksaw to get through the wires on both edges.
Then place agains the spring to see how long to cut it.
Cut two identical lengths of tire.
Get drill and drill a hole about 1.5cm in from the edge of the tire.
Then continue drilling a hole every 2inches, do the same on other side of the tire, repeat for the other tire..
Then place the tire on the spring and pull zipclip through one hole and then through the hole on the other side then pull tight and cut to size.

when doing it this way should the tire be tight around the spring? i mean like, have to pull hard so that the two ends meet when fastening the cable tie... that kinda tight...???
