Everyone's dreams sit aloft a rungless ladder. Some ladders are higher than others. Some are so tall they reach high above the clouds - but everyone can see their dream. Most people see that their ladder has no rungs and although they may talk about climbing it one day, seeing no way to get there, they eventually give up and settle for what lies beneath it.
      The brave however, the wise, the imaginative and the strong of will seek out their missing rungs. They learn all they can about the ladder, they surround themselves with friends and family who would also find the rungs, and failing all else they craft the steps themselves with their own two hands from nothing. Sometimes a rung breaks and the person falls. Some of these people will fall too hard and lose the strength to climb again - Yet they feel comfort in knowing they tried. They became better for it. And they experienced things and witnessed sights upon the climb that those who sat forever beneath it will never know.
      Then there are the special few who find new steps, or fix and climb again the ones that failed. Who eventually, through sheer tenacity and courage come to reach the final rung - Only they will have their dreams fulfilled. The extraordinary then build new ladders. These are the strongest people of all.

sometime in the last half hour or so since i last looked out a window, it started blizzard-ing

which has sent the entire drunk student population crazy and started a campus-wide snowball fight...though none of them an aim to save their lives, so i casually walked to the shop and back for a laugh, some poeple get really annoyed if you sub-consciously dodge their projectiles

Mine's all settling now, got about an inch over the past 4 hours, hopefully will be nice and thick by the morning so lecturers can't get into uni :D

just took us an hour to go 5 miles - and some people pushed the car up a hill for us cos we got stuck!!!

I had a Robin Relaint once their useless in deep snow the front bounces on the snow and they can't turn very well.
But their so light you could pull it home on your own LOL

about half a foot if not mroe now, settled proper like, went out and drew pentagrams on the church carpark  :Claugh:

...and now my fingers are all tingly cause they got too cold...hope thye get better soon...and maybe a fewlecturers wont make it in...

ditto the lucky sod part, seeing as i live literally 20 seconds from my lecture theateres i highly doubt any are cancelled...but i haven't seen how much snow is out yet, about to scurry down to tesco for some eardrops as i can't hear a thing(bloody snow >.<)

I live about 30 seconds from my lecture theatres, but considering I'm in a field in the middle of nowhere (ask Carl and Locky!) and the lecturers have to drive in, I am hoping mine are cancelled :D


That's the view from my window at the moment, I know it isn't LOADS (it's about 6 inches), but its enough to make the country lanes that my university is on really dangerous.

I've shoveling the snow in my yard with a forklift and pushing in the dike ( and filling it ) it about 8 foot high now should be there for ........ a month   :Claugh:

uni snowboarding clubs having reat fun today, all going stupidly fast down the hill we're on...though it's all compacted now, time for the ice skates almost
