Dear all

I have been at a kite festival this weekend and got speaking to the main organiser of another kite festival in may,
He has asked if we would be interested in doing a couple of displays at this festival.
We may have set times to go into an arena and show the public what we can do. Or, we would be just bocking around the event kindof entertaining people .
I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in doing this?
The festival is near Bury St Edmunds Suffolk and it is a 2 day event, the weekend would involve:-
turn up Late Fri early Sat
A weekend pass to festival including camping
displays from kiting teams (powerkiting and stunt kites ect)
Displays from us
fair ground
Food stalls
For a small amount a meal on sat night
Saturday night party.
Plus loads more……

Please let me know if you are interested as i need to see how many people would want to do it to see if its worth it or not.
I will need to know who would be interested by the end this week, sorry for the short notice.
I Need to know numbers to get the passes there may be a limited amount of passed i can get.

We have been going to this festival for the last 6 year and it’s a really good weekend.

ohhh i see there is going to be a park there, ill have to get my park bike out then as well

and i will get spud to do stilt biking

oh i see there is a charity auction going to be there that night,
can you offer a pair of projumps from me to go in there, if they want them.
will have to decide what pair to put in now, descisions descisions

Me thinks I'm gonna do some vids of me riding my bike with bocks on, only done it with pegs so far tho. Done trampo bocking tho

well the highest the seat goes is.....
16" from the bb(cranks)

and if you are going to do some vids of you riding your bike with bocks on i would say get a better bike

and spud are you kk to get there allright? as it may be possible for me to pick you up from ipswich(as it is easer for you to get there)

Until I fall off anyway...

I should be fine to get there..i go to bury every gym...but might be easier to go to ippy. 2 less trains. But its honestly not a stressful trip. I dont mind getting trains and stuff. I wont be booking any trains so i can just do whatever. Dont really need to plan.

But..if I got train whole way there..could somebody pick me up from bury train station?

I'm actually thinking....lift from ippy would be good. Since I would have a bit more gear than usual.

i may well be able to get a lift, but it will more than likely be with my brother which in that case he wont be able to take anyone else as his new car only has 2 seats so, but i will ask mum.

Hey everyone, have heard from event organisers this evening, and its all go go go...

Need to know exact numbers for people who can definitely attend so i can get the weekend/camping passes sorted.

there will be 1 pass for anyone who is willing to be part of the "Display". This will either be an area we can use to do our stuff over the weekend and/or set times to go into a display arena.
Gonna be a great weekend, cant wait.....

Latest update :-)

Heard from organisers last night, They really want us there which is good...
They have asked for some good photo's for publicity, so, anyone attending that has some good pics we/they could use, can you please E-mail them to me and i'll send em over.

We have been allocated our passes for the weekend as well, they will be sent to me, so if i see you before the event i'll give you your pass, if i dont see you then i can let you have yours on the day you arrive.

When i say they really want us there it;s because we will add something a little different to what they've had in previous years

Ive been doing this festival for the past 6 yrs with my Bro and Dad, We all fly powerkites.
I've never seen anyone else there on bocks other than me (and yes, ive flown a powerkite while bocking LMAO)
The only folks that get paid to attend are the Pro Display teams.

To be honest i'm quite happy with Free weekend passes inc camping and the sat night partay.....
