NOSTRADAMUS-DECEMBER 12TH 2012 (DOOMSDAY?!)

I was watching Nostradamus 2012 last night and as hypocondriacts do (i am one  ) i panicked and kept watching the worst bits and believed it...

Nostradamus was a famous french prophesor who predicted the future (he was born 500 years ago) and all of his predictions were highly accurate and he predicted that on December 12th 2012, it will be Doomsday!  but do you believe it?!

I could write so much here but I don't think it is fair for me to publicly post my opinion lol...about doomsdays anyway...

Look up planet X (nibiru) that is a 2012 jobby I think

I don't think being frightened of Nostradamus's predictions comes under the heading of hypochondria (being convinced you are ill all the time)
Killer Chinchilla So far as I know there isn't a phobia of the end of the world or disasters

You could be suffering from some of the below 

Cometophobia- Fear of comets.
Dystychiphobia- Fear of accidents.
Meteorophobia- Fear of meteors
Panophobia or Pantophobia- Fear of everything.

I would think that most bockers suffer from some or all of the below as some point

Barophobia- Fear of gravity.
Basophobia or Basiphobia- Inability to stand. Fear of walking or falling.
Bathmophobia- Fear of stairs or steep slopes.
Catapedaphobia- Fear of jumping from high and low places.

I don't think Sky High are suffering from  Methyphobia- Fear of alcohol.

And hows this one for evil  Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia- Fear of long words.

I'm gonna try getting a few days off soon with  Ergophobia- Fear of work.


So now your all hopefully suffering from  Phobophobia- Fear of phobias.

That Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia is just like the word Lisp and Stutter, in that they're words that bring about a symptom that they describe O.o...

well:

1.Planets could never align compleately...

2.this wouldnt cause any gravity changes since planets are too far away

3. this wouldnt cause an ellipse since Mercury and Venus arent big enough to block the sun only the moon is

Nostradamus predicted stuff like Diana's death and the 9/11.
He also said there would be a Diana day. I don't see a Diana's day anywhere 
Apparently, the thired world war will be fought with sticks and stones. If we have a third world war, we will be dead within six minutes...even less actually!! 
The planets lineing up happens every so many thousand yrs. So whats different about this time round? 
I don't know what to believe but I'm only trying to weigh up the pro's and cons.
If anyone should be freaked out, it's people like me with thanatophobia (a fear of death or dying)

I have a pretty extreme case of Agoraphobia, which is actually the name for two different phobias; Fear of Open Spaces and/or a Fear of Crowds.

I have the crowds problem.

I get panic attacks and such pretty often so it's not nice to be a serious sufferer of a phobia (Although some of the ones above are very odd)

It wasn't just Nostradamus that predicts doomsday on Dec 12 2012. That is the day the Mayan long calender ends as well as the day Planet X is meant to come into orbit. I think regardless of the outcome of that day, its interesting that its predict more than once. Also Doomsday does not mean that all live becomes extinct, just that life will cease to be lived as it is today. For anyone thats interested, this site has several theories

me being abit of a science geek (no not a english geek ) i know about this theory he predicted that the moon sun and earth were going to align switching the earths magnetic north and south causing the world to impload
if you are worried about this then dont be the earth andmoon and sun have alighned about 3 times already and the earth is fine
there have been many predictions and one from a tribe in the eraly stages of man kind they predicted the same theory but it was 2008 but hey were still here
all of these predictions were made by people along time ago when they knew jack all about space and science we now monitor space planet and all the magnetic fields
if we were in danger from any such cotasrophy scienctist would have alredy been craping themselves

The world has been predicted to end multiple times now. Once being the year 2000 again in 2006 possibly 2008 as someone else has said and now in 2012.

The world is still here after all these impending dooms days and on top of that "Planet X" has allways been considered Pluto's moon even though it was bigger but has recently been relisted as an actual planet aswell as pluto being recategorized as a mere satelite of "planet X" it doesnt matter in the end because they are both just hunks of rock and not bringers of doom. Planet X is ALLREADY here.

Not to mention that allthough so many people are ready to say oh well i knew this was going to happen because Nostradomus said so AFTER an event that is slightly similar to his VAUGE predictions, takes place. NO one has stood up and said OMG GUYS NOSTRADOMUS SAID THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN WE SHOULD TOTALY DO SOMETHING TO COUNTERACT IT. Because NO ONE truly has faith in some random vauge predictions that could adhere to any such war, world travesty or natural disaster that is bound to happen over due time anyways.

If people KNEW 9/11 was going to happen because Nostradomus predicted it then they would have been screaming out and making it known so that these things could be prevented. But the fact is people only start seing similarities in events and predicitions AFTER it's happened because humans as a species try to find similarities where similarities are actually non existant.

By which i mean if you look at a section of the moon long and hard enough and with the goal of finding you Initials carved in it then more than likely you'll be able to find a pattern that resembles your initials. SO THEY MUST BE THERE!!11! Or not... It's just the way the human psychee works and it does so because finding these patterns or similarities gives us comfort and helps "forsee" the future in a way that prevents us from noticing the complete randomness tat is the world surrounding us.

It just the same as when people see "The man on the moon" it's not really there but you can convince yourself youve seen the face if you stare long enough just as people do when they look at Nostradomus' prophecy's, because they are TRYING to find answers. People just read way to much into things is what this all boils down to.

In the end we just need to accept that the universe and world within it are completely random beasts which cannot be tamed and have no written course other than by the law of nature that bind them. These laws being, gravity, time, and space...these are all the determining factors of our lives and if we knew where every object in existance was at any single point in time within our universe. Then and only then would we POSSIBLY be able to form a mathematical formula with which to predict when a catastrophy may or may not occur...even then it's still all a bit random.
