Paraffin wax? o.O

When we did it, we just drank craploads of milk (To hide the taste of the paraffin), and just used plain industrial paraffin from B&Q. I learnt to do it at a juggling club with a load of people who did it as a full-time job, and that's the way they taught us.

Aidan, have you ever set fire to petrol? It's really not a good substance to do any fire work with at all.

Sprog's right. Just make sure it's clean. Like say you had leftover from poi, dont put it back in the breathing stuff.

You can get lactose free cows milk now. Better than any other alternative. Its just unfortunate the lactose part isnt a problem for me. Its the cow part. FTL

I'm still trying to work out the know what you're doing and yet you wanted to firebreathe with a solid wax. Where have you learnt, please tell me you haven't just searched on youtube for a video on how to do it

EDIT: also goats milk apparently tastes fine and is lactose free i believe

That confused me too Romper, but I couldn't be bothered to question it.

Normal paraffin burns with a cold flame (hence why we use if for juggling/poi/etc, if it hits you or you accidentally catch it, it won't burn you). Paraffin wax is a solid wax up until about 50 degrees centigrade, so it'll be like holding vaseline in your mouth and attempting to spit it out. It just wouldn't work. Whoever told you to use wax is an idiot to be honest, and really had no idea what they were doing.
If you're going off info like that, I would seriously STOP, think about what you're doing, and go join a local circus skills club. There will be people there who will do fire stuff and can teach you properly.

Thats deffo the way to go guys. Fire breathing can actually be pretty dangerous. If you do learn of some experienced people I am sure you will be told of the horror stories of what happens if you make a mistake (breathe in by mistake) Fire poi and stuff is fairly harmless. You have to be pretty stupid to so any real damage to yourself, even fire eating is ok safety wise but there are risks with breathing and I think particular techniques involved so it is better to join a group.
