Pip The EA Bocker
« on: June 12, 2009, 05:23:36 PM »
Hey everyone,
Esp Tim who only got garden chairs :P
I would just like to introduce you to all to Pip, at 31(ish) years old she is one of the oldest EA bockers.

Where we rescued pip from.

Ok so how did we get a caravan!
Long story short, I was told by a site calle Freecycle by someone on a fish forum after i was asking if anyone had a cheap tank to sell.
So i asked on freecycle for a fish tank - no luck.
But before i knew about Freecycle me Greg and Carl had been talking about having an EA bocker caravan (pip wasnt what we had in mind) and we ruled out the idea because it would simply be too expensive.

At gregs one evening me and trix decided to ask for a caravan on freecycle, why not it was worth a shot!
We were soon offered Pip and we went to go and look the next day, we also picked greg up a new trampoline from the same woman cos she was moving house after her husband left her for a 26yr old model (we were in on the hot goss!)
We were also offered another caravan but soon gave up on that one after they messed rob about.

On the sunday night, gregs folks took us back to Assington to go and collect pip and we LEGALLY towed her back, Big smiles all round!!

So now we have pip, she just needs a new tryre on the door side which my dad has sorted out and the lights need doing and the brakes are a bit sharp!
but all in all we are happy and we also got a funky green awning with her!

So Pip can be used at meets to store stuff, sleep in, cook, fix stilts, shelter, BBQ's etc
we are also going to have some info boards so if we are at meets eg the kite fest or gymfests we can put them out save ourselfs being too repetitive all the time!
We also have Moo-ey our cow we won at the kite fest =]

Myself Trix and Greg have worked hard to get Pip cleaned up and i just need to add in some curtains and finish one seat/bed along with painting the brown and pink bit black!.
I have brought/aquried some cups, plates, mugs, bowls, cutlery, tea towels etc but we are still in need of a few things though to make Pip fully usable so if anyone would like to donate any of the following!
- old duvets for seat padding
- futon matresses (the foam ones)
- caravan fridge (LOL)
- sleeping bags for sleeping in

At gregs house - her new home

Spock giving Pip a look!

after i cleaned a patch on the back

SHINEY!!

Sarah who gave Pip to us was thrilled that her little old caravan that was sat in the paddock slowly deteroiating was going to be used (and proberly abused)
After all she brought it 3years ago for £150 for her daugter to use once a year for pony club, so she got her moneys worth!

What do you all think??
And for the record i resized all the piccys for your easy viewing unlike biohazard....

Love

And it looks like it's in really good condition to

Do make sure whoever tows it for you has the right bits on their licence I think you have to do a small additional test now to tow (not sure but someone mentioned it to me the other day) unlike us old gits who get to drive lorries for free

Well done EA's

A Banned Lorry  :Claugh: can you imagine it

Big Black and with a Skull and Crossbocks on the side, front, back and top  me dressed as death driving and Clive dressed as a vampire

I can't see us getting more that a hundred yards before the police pull us up and strip search me (mmm might be worth doing )  :Claugh:

the banned camper would be better, like a real classic VW camper aswell :D

nice caravan, make sure it has all the electrical/gas stuff working, they're really handy

oh and it needs a kettle, for mid-meet cups of tea ^-^

Suffolk Freecycle + Caravan + Trampoline = Win

Fenland Freecycle + Gym Balls = Lose

I have something special for the caravan that i will hopefully bring down next time, not sure yet though, looks epic!
