well to start off with, are you in the UK? that'll decide whether you can buy a set of pro-jumps :D  (not the best bocks, but still great, and very good value for money)

and yes, you WILL need pads, unless you want to end up with some serious wrist injuries, or you somehow have enough skill/luck to never fall over, but that's not going to happen

Welcome to the forum ;)

Projumps are a great first pair. Wicked to learn on. If you get on with the sport well you can upgrade when the pjs are tired out. Its up to you really. If you have money to spend on better bocks you might want to do that. I really cant advise too well.. Its a big jump in price between projumps and anything i would class an upgrade. 7's Are probably the others worth looking at. You can probably decide from there.

Really depends on how much you value your elbows and head. To start with I wore a skid lid. Most people don't but some people hurt their heads. Bexx fell and knocked herself out. Had to go to A&E. You will have to decide for yourself. As for elbow pads, again, most people don't wear them. The obvious benefit to wearing them is that when you fall (it will happen) you kinda slide. I think most people start with elbow pads but as they improve ditch them.

I can't decide for you. You don't seem to want to wear pads. You might think it's a bit extreme but then again, so is bocking.

It would probably be a good idea to start well padded up...

What strap are you taking about? Calf cuffs?

Think its better for me to wear the pads then  :Ctongue:

Yes, the calf cufs dunno if its worth forking out extra for them

Both the upgrading bindings and calf cuffs are good upgrades. Not essential but have their benefits. Cuffs are easier to get nice and tight and the upgraded bindings do the same. If you go for the knee bar I recommend making additional straps to stay secure in them.

Just a little heads up.. the Pro bindings... the holes are annoyingly wierd... the original bocks come with a plastic washer like thing and the pro bindings do not have the hole for it... so you end up only using the bolt...

... tho perrsonally i got the drill out and ''made the hole'' but i recon this prolly scraps the waranty on the pro bindings.

but yeh... they are very usefull... and the calf cuffs aare much more comfy :D
