Hey guys.

Anyone out there interested in anime cosplay conventions?

Well theres a big convention happening in London and its called "The Cosplay cruise"

The Cosplay Cruise will take place on July 10th 2010 aboard The Dixie Queen, the largest riverboat on the Thames, as it gently meanders down the river against the setting red light of early evening, through to the starlight canopy of midnight.

Tickets are on sale now here:
http://www.cosplaycruise.co.uk/

And they are only £26 !!

It is a cosplay cruise, meaning, Its fancy dress.....BUT YOU DONT HAVE TO  DRESS UP---
If you just want to come for a good time and meet new people amoungst alcohol (there are 2 fully licensed bars on board) - then come along....

18+ only please, sorry, but the cosplay cruise dont have the Insurance for under 18's ....

So give me a shout if anyone is interested. Any questions about the actual event, Have a look at the site above ....

Thanks XXX

Aw sorry rawk, I know it sux. If I cud change the rules, I would :(

awsome Clive ... Look forward to seeing your costume - I'm going as chii
from chobits. I'm quite excited.

Hilly, it would be awsome if you could come ... It's going to be a good nite

oh n - I wouldn't recommend bringing stilts on the boat ( lol, do I need to explain more?) I mean, sure we can go bocking in the day and party in the night, there is some room for storage on the boat ... But wearing stilts on the boat will prolly be a "no no" for health an safety reasons.

Sound like fun but ..What is cosplay?  is it just fancy dress? and if so why call it cosplay ???

Growing OLD is compulsory. Growing UP is optional. OPT OUT!

hey there good question, but your asking the wrong person (I'm not really a true anime geek, just a load of my mates are XD )... So I've found this link for you:
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosplay?wasRedirected=true

hope this helps : )

remember though, your costume doesn't HAVE to be anime

anime costumes are some of the biggest - games are also up there, even films, if you google it, particularly with a specific reference, there are some really good ones, one of my favourites was a kid dressed as the companion cube from portal, though i think thats now been repeated several times

Just to amend if you are 16 or over you can attend but only 18 and over can drink  :Cwink:

would have loved to have come to this but its too short notice to book off work and I dont think I have enough cash spare anyway  :Ccry:

such a shame as my cosplay is near enough finished for me to have considered wearing it  :Cfrown:
