OK, i sure there are few about who have not noticed that the ' World Cup' is being used by all manner of companies to promote their goods and services. Sometimes in the most tenuous of ways.
I think the CO-OP has now really gone to far in this respect.
Popped into my local 1 today. Noticed these tubs with various produce and sticking out of each was a sign with the legend 'TASTE THE PASSION' and the picture of a football. What were the products? Erm Mars Bars, mini Cheddars, Walkers 'Sensations'. Now there OK I can go along with...need for munches while watching a gaMes. heinz ketchup? OK, barbi after the game. Dishwasher tablets??!! Well an aquired taste for some maybe, but I guess some may like the lemon flavoured ones. But Washing powder, starting to have real problems. But the final 1. 'TASTE THE PASSION'..........'PAMPERS NAPPIES'.......
