Well I've just heard back from the council and there are events happening in the basin every weekend in july august and september :/

How do people feel about a week day?

I was still thinking August. How about Tuesday 16th or Wednesday 17th.

Midweek is definately better for availability. If they have a big event on at the weekend they quite often start fencing it off and put things in place on the thursday.

Weekdays aren't ideal for me but it appears the only option we've got, so I'll try my hardest to get a day off work :)

Guys I have been told August 16th and 17th are free by the council so we now need to decide if we're going for just one of these days or both. I would personally prefer only the 16th but I can do both.

As soon as we can decide on this then we can get a list together and sort out numbers and I'll try get some good hotel deals for those staying over.
