there are lots of people that cant do it. Keep trying until you get it, it's an important skill to have. Good luck

This has troulbed me since day one (nov 2006) and I still think its down to my legs not being flexible enough rather than me not doing something right.

I noticed in a recent meet in portsmouth that I can be down on a path and could get up no problem just by pushing off a curb that was literally 2" high but getting up with absolutely nothing to push off is still impossible for me. *shrug*

Well today something must have happened to me.
I was at the park with my sis on bocks and i was just laying flat down on the grass resting and i turned over put my leg up and up i went. Dont ask me how, but i can do it now.
It's ONLY taken me 6 months but this is a big deal for me since I once spent about 2 hrs in my drive one day trying to get this but I got no where.

I succeeded standing on my first day on bocks... I don't know how I mastered it so quickly...
What I do to stand up, I go on my knees, sit up straight, then swing my weakest foot infront, (my weakest foot is my left) then place my right forefingers on the ground, then just push up with my weakest leg and I'm up!  :o
Hope you succeed some day. :)
