My Tyre Armour Mod :D
« on: January 17, 2011, 04:30:33 PM »
So i have tripped and hit the springs together on my bocks so i thought it was time i got a tyre on the back of them protecting them :D.

Before The Modifiaction :)

And then when i added the tyre they look like this :D

After The Modifaction :)

your going to need two things, gloves for when you start trying spring grabs, and extra cable ties as they will pop, i used cable ties on my first spring armor

Looking good there Brett

Must agree with Ben here though mate

A while back when cuffs first came out a few people put them on back to front as you have and although it works it is not advised due to a couple of reasons

The first is that it is possible to pull the velcro back by accident while performing tricks and that leaves you with just one strip holding you in
Secondly the velcro is designed to be adjusted and then left alone while you get in via the buckle. The buckle is designed to be used many times but the velcro isn't so will loose it's stickyness over time and not hold as well

The only accident I remember seeing was when a cuff used this way opened and the guy was still strapped in to the footplate
The size his ankle swelled to was amazing and he was luck not to have broken it

If you need to see how they should be set up look here

Well done with the tyre armour I think I might copy you on that one as my new ones need protecting
