fixed wobbly stilt
« on: May 21, 2011, 12:34:15 PM »
my left stilt was very wobbly, after searching what it could be i noticed there was a screw missing. the screw is obviously there for this reason because it keeps both parts in line although there is still some free space in between. i found a screw that fit in my workshop so i decided i would 'improve' my stilts a little to make sure this screw stays where it is and fill that free space to have a more solid connection. some pictures to show what i'm talking about:

that is the screw i'm talking about.

i took this piece form both stilts and added epoxy glue to fill up the space and to fix it better

the result.

Nice fix. I've noticed this myself. Not really serious but just enough give in the stilts to be annoying.

I'll give this a try if we're all still alive tomorrow.

before you try it, wait until i've tried them again :p

after i did this i thought it would have been good to add a washer so theres not only epoxy but also metal between the 2 parts
