Straps!
« on: May 23, 2007, 06:45:19 PM »
Looking around the forum pics of peoples powerizers, i notice a lot of people use the straps that come with the powerizers. You know, the green and red ones.
Ive tried to use them but they always seem to come loose.
??? Is there a way to put them on so they stay tight? ???
Any links to tutorials while youre at it?

Cheers

I dont think he means the bindings, I am assuming he means the green/red strapping to secure the knee to the knee bar

I used to tie them the same way as you tie a shoelace (after following the threading instructions in the manual ) I never had them come undone but if I did'nt tie them tight enough they lossened and needed to be retied

I now use homemade cuffs so its not a problem now

Yes hard to explain but

Thread the strap behind your knee/calf below the knee bar  (half hanging out either side
Next bring the two ends round the front and cross them over each other and the knee bar
Take them round behind your knee above the knee bar
You then bring them round the front one end either side and tie like a shoelace infront of your knee above the knee bar

Easy to show hard to explain

ermm, that kinda makes sense.. ive threaded it.. wrapped it around the steel part of the bar, then taped it back on itself, is that right? that seems to work nicely?

If it holds you to the bocks securely it will do for now if your still uncertain on the 19th

(I assume your coming to Capital Bocking )

find me or one of the other old timers (but don't tell ET or Q I called them that ) or Sprog and we'll tie you in so tight you'll need surgery to get them off  ;D

im afraid im not no, plus my bloody straps keep tearing out on me, now i have to secure them on with leccy tape, they seem to be fine for now so dont worry about the photos :)

one thing i do have problems is withe the strap rubbing against the back of my leg with shorts, you can buy special comfy things to replace the normal thing right? where from though? if you know what i mean? :)

thanks for the help anywho

Steve I think you have got the wrong end of the stick

The straps I am talking about are about a meter long and you sort of tie yourself to the bocks with them

the little black straps that are attached to the knee bar are all but useless and I can't imagine how unstable they must feel without the long straps

If you didn't get some with your bocks get some now you won't believe the difference

It's not me, it's a guy in America called Max. I think they are just sport knee support things :)
