It just takes PRACTISE..... You have had them 4 days with no prior experience and you are expecting to be jumping like a pro. it all takes time and experience. you will get higher and higher but dont expect it straight out of the box, very few people can achieve that. Push hard down through your heels as this will help to get more height.

That will become less of a problem the more you do it.

improving your balance takes time and practice and it doesn't just happen overnight. keep practicing

How do you know you are jumping only 1 foot? May I suggest thats is cos you are looking down to see how high you are jumping? IF you are not straight upright you will a/ not get as high and b/ as a noob run the risk of being unbalanced.

Try looking at a point about 12' -15' in front of you on the ground. You will see where you are going but also should help you get the right posture.

re bruising. How tall are you? Quite a few ladees and shorter chaps find the knee post bashes them in the back of the thigh when bending legs on jumps.

2 things can be done if that is the case. a/ putting some padding on the top of the post. Or b/ ( and I think better) go along to a cheapy/£ shop and get a pair of really naff old thick soled flip flops. Cut off the straps and glue the sole to the foot plate  . Should raise you up enuff to avoid the bruising

Thanks for the replies guys, and yeah i do look down a bit when i jump. not straight down but a little bit that could abe a problem

erm... im 5 foot 4 so i am pretty short.

that could be what causes bruises ? maybe

Not if you're under the weight limit, no.
If you were using the 50-60kg springs (M60's) there is a high change you would though!

I assume you are using the 70-80kg ones? (M80's)
If so you will be perfectly fine :)
