There I was last night on the forum when I got locked out

I was told they where updating the forum

I've just noticed for the first time .... I'm On-Line

Before it just said EVERYONE was off-line . What other things have they up dated ?

Hey there

Last month the forum had some problems and although we got it working again there was still some problems like the online feature etc

We have managed to update the forum to the latest version and also get all the mods updated as well. So you can now see who is online and also see the little image go bright green next to your user name

We are also looking to add more smf mods and perhaps convert the forum to a mini site so we can install more features! I'll update this thread as we do and if you guys have any suggestions let us know.

We managed to get a few more mods added last night.

Not sure what you think of them but let me know anyway

If you want you can also collapse the feature using the arrow (See attached image below)

Left Hand side bar options

Let me know if you like this feature here or whether the one at the top of the page is sufficent. Either way you can collapse it if you don't like it or we can remove it if you guys would rather not have it.

Recent threads
Just shows the most recent topics on the side

Shoutbox
This is something that I've implemented if anyone used it this morning It looked like it was going mad (scrolling too fast) so I have stopped the scroll and instead it will just update with the newest message.

Live TV
I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to installing things on the forum so I had a quick tutorial and added this feature. Was just a trial thing but if any of you like it - I don’t mind it staying.

If you would like anything else just let me know.

In terms of the forum becoming more clearer in terms of FAQ, mods etc - This work has already been started on and will be updated onto the forum soon.

Yes, I love the new design.
Also, while you are updating it you could put a huge banner saying 'Dusty12 is the best' on top of the page.

We are also looking to implement another theme as I've been told some people find this too dark. So the another one will be more "fresh" looking (I'm hoping!)

Its currently in the process of getting it modified so that all options currently available with this theme can work with it. As far as I'm aware the SMF default theme will work too. So you will have the option of changing between these three themes dependant on your own preferance.

Can you either remove the TV thing or make it optional from within the profile as it is annoying and reloads on every page!

The TV thing has been deactivated for now

Would anyone fancy a MP3 player to listen to music whilst you browse? Just a thought lol

The shout box I've slowed it down as much as posible. Let me know if its better like this?

MP3 player ? Why can't you just use your own pc mp3 and files ?

Just been thinking no one uses the chat room because .... no one uses the chat room, if you know what I mean. Now you can shout you can see if anyone wants a chat and once two are there more could join the chat !?

I think the problem there is there's no info anywhere on who is in the chat room. I think a section on the left should be added showing if there are people in chat and then more people will be likely to go in....

Hang on... THERES A CHAT ROOM?!

I'll try adding a section on the left for chat if I can - its currently at the top of the forum where it should update with whoever is in there. We do have a few members that use it and it was added due to requests by members - so use it guys
