IMO Springs don't need breaking in. It's actually you that needs breaking in, you need to get the technique right before you can get more height. People just blame lack of technique on their springs not being broken in.
I can back this up as when I moved onto my second pair of stilts I could instantly jump as high (and run faster) as I could before, the springs did not need breaking in at all. This has also happened to other people I know who have moved onto a second pair of stilts.

Glass fibre is made of long strands of very thin glass in a crystalline structure.
Has your spring start this structure is bent and breaks some of the bonds aollowing it to bend more. Thats why springs have a max weight limit .

So new springs not bend has much as older springs !

But way you walk/run/jump does change the more you get the feel of them !?

That's understandable with the pathetic amount of sun we've had so far this summer. Hopefully it will be a bit better this month. So far August is looking pretty good. I hope Uncle Matt pre-booked the sunshine for this weekend.
