Ok I know I said I was going to wait until the other socks wore out
But I couldn't (never been good at waiting)
I put them on last night they are a bit stiffer than tyres and I had to cut them to shape to get the jubilie clip to go round
I went out on them for 3/4 of an hour tonight a mix of walking running and a few jumps (not very high
) when I got back I went into the garden and jumped around on grass (about 6" high the grass that is I can jump higher than that
)
On pavement and tarmac they are great not one slip even on the dusty gravely bits
On dry short grass (local park) they seemed to grip just like new tyre socks (I even ran up and down hill without slipping)
In the garden on long grass (I thought this would be bad ) guess what they grip better than the mountainbike socks (I was gobsmacked I even tried to make them slip)
As to wearing they have lost the points of of the tread in a small patch so I think they will last at least as long as the socks do but only time will tell
The most amazing thing is how they grip carpet they seem to grab it and pull it up off the floor really weird like a magnet
It would be interesting to see how well the perform with a real bocker (someone who really pushes them )
