just wondering.. why do dj's wear headphones.. does anyone know lol, it makes no sense to me.. bc the music blasts out anywho..haha help.

so there is no gap.... or locate a track on an ep...
otherwise the crowd would hear him messing....
some just use pc's now anyhow...and just link them up...
only live dance types really use em now

Its also so they can ensure the microphone levels are correct or any other sound source....which is why you can clearly tell we dont have headphones on when we do radiobock :) If they didnt use the headphones then their own mic sound would get caught in a feedback loop which would be horrible and drown out any other sound.

ok i was a dj for 3 years.

u wear headphones to get the base line of 2 tracks to match b4 u mix the tracks into each other givin a clear un-noticeable mix, also used for gettin a gd clear sound play back of how the microphone is coming accross and u can test all audio going out for example doin a set with a band u can test the levels and balance the 2 out 2 each other
