Whats up all?
« on: January 29, 2008, 02:59:40 PM »
hey everyone, how are you all, ive missed ya.
what a couple of months ive had, since just before christmas i was rushed off my feet with design work and such other boring things, that i was crammed out till last saturday.
so i took my boys bug hunting in the early afternoon then managed at last to get back out on my bocks.
wow i missed that i tell ya.
before i went out i checked out the swebounce site for some inspiration as i had only done a tuck so far and to be honest by christmas i wanted to be flipping.
but i strapped my new azonic surrond sound lid on and went for it, i managed to do a tuck, pike, star, backgrab (left and right) and a back scratcher which i done while doing a 360.
i came back and had the most unsightliest lump sticking out my left calf from where the stupid square pad had been maiming me, so i finally got round to taking jasons advice and getting shot of them, this did leave some sharp metal blocks but some pipe insulation and gaffer tape has dealt with that.
i have also taped my springs up at last, but i used red electrical tape like this one :tape:
not sure im loving the redand gold but itll do for now.
i didnt manage to have any video this time as my usual camera man was p**sed up from the friday night still (kids huh?)

on a different note i have been chatting to some friends about giving me some funding to start a printing side of my design work, this will involve high quality long lasting apparell, hats, mouse mats,  cups, car and bike vinyls as well as the normal printing and promotional stuff, if i can pull this off (and i sooooo want to) i will send Nas, Jason and Carma a sample of my work, from then i will price everything to do with this site somewhere here and offer the service to all.
but i know i can do tshirts and maybe hoodies for under £10 posted now, so if i was doing them myself i could hook you all up.

b***hing i missed another midlands meet this weekend, but i was bug hunting at the time and its all about the kids.
this saturday my airsoft team are at bassetts pole for some ownage, but the weekend after perhaps we could all hit birmingham city centre, ill buy beer!

Yeh Nero's back!

I was wondering where you disappeared to...

Good to know your getting into bocking again and look forward to the pics, There's a chap called nofear on here who may be interested in meeting up depending on where you are so I'll let him know.

About the printing, I'd be interested in looking at your stuff for sure as we do need to get some tops done!

mhmmm kinda, but not as cheap, im not up on that whole died printing, the stuff i prefer to use is vinyl thats then melted on, i use this as it'll last as long as a screen print will but takes half the time

I am extremely honoured to be listed alongside Naz and Jason! Thank you Nero, I look forward to the samples :D. I might have some designs you may be interested in for the car decals, should it all take off.

Best of luck!

If we supply the material can you print on to it (cotton drill about 60% polyester stands hot iron for over 30seconds without damage)

I ask because printing the spring covers at the moment is so labour intensive they aren't worth doing

Carma, you know what it is love?
your one of the people i respect most in the community as you try your hardest to organize things everyones gonna enjoy, you do great things for invicta.
so if i can get this set up, i know i can do us all good, so i wanna be on your mind when someone asks.
you know, like "actually, i know a man who can!".

Spud, yeah anything popular like, nothing obscure

Jason, ill have a look into it mate, i know its all teflon coated in the heat press but ive melted a few things when i was experimenting.
saying that the rubber on the back of a mouse mat takes it, so as long as its not touching the press directly it should work, but yes i can have your own stuff printed on as long as it takes the heat

Glad you are back and unharmed.  I found the Swebounce trick guides really helpful with learning new tricks too.

You mentioned "bike vinyls", would these stick to a lid?  I'd love to brighten up my dull black lid with the JJ's or Banned Bockers logo.

Your getting into a whole different feild there... Unless you go into spraying professionally, the finish is going to look sh*t.

If I am correct, I beleive Nero is talking about serious professional decals.

I think he is. But tundraH is wants a cooler lid so I was thinking of stuff for that. Spraying isnt too bad if you spend ages annd ages prepping it

i guess depending on the type of paint, but dont quote me i could be very wrong on all counts, i just know that the glue in stickers weakens the shell of most types of helmet, looking at my azonic helmet its the shell plastic is all that colour, if its just plastic i dont see why not.

yes, carmas right these are quite thick 30 year vinyls that i would use for cars or bikes.
depending on the type of lid though i think a well cut stencil might look better, defo would look better on a p*ss pot style lid

give it a half done messy style
