My dad had a good one, he texted both me and my mum saying that he and my lil sis got evacuated (he lives right by the thames next to the thames barrier) because there was a tidal surge. He said that he is staying in a hotel all the way up leeds and would call us in the morning to let us know they were ok. Now he sent this at 2.30 this morning and i was asleep, so i wouldnt have got the message until i had woken up. But i would have known that it was an april fools cos me dad is like that. But NO! mum read her text message and got straight on the phone to me in hysterics saying 'there has been a tidal wave and dad and zoe have been evacuated etc etc' now i had just been woken up in the early hours of the morning and started to panic myself, i had a sneaking suspision in the back of my mind that it could have been an april fools joke, but half asleep i got up turned on the telly to watch for news headlines, tried to call me dad but got no answer and then read the text my dad had sent me and mum. Then i clicked. If there was a tidal wave 1. They live on the 9th floor flat on top of a hill, so it wouldnt affect them. 2. Why would they evacuate them all the way up to leeds from london, thats just ridculously far away. and 3. Mum lives a few miles up the road also next to the thames, why wasnt she evacuated? I had been fooled not by my own admission but by my mum who didnt read the text properly. I didnt sleep very well after that cos i was fuming with my mum for waking me up and with my dad for being a little bugger. Im so gonna get him, i dont care if its past 12. Im going to make him suffer, lol. jelly x
